One of the Motown greats has died -- Levi Stubbs. He was the lead singer for the Four Tops with such classics as :
Sugar Pie Honey Bunch
Ain't No Woman Like The One  Got
Standing In The Sahdows of Love
It's The Same Old Song
Baby I Need Your Lovin
Bernadette
Reach Out I'll Be There
I Believe In You and Me

Levi Stubbs and the Four Tops was one of the early singing groups in my teen years. I remember many nights "groovin" to their tunes.

I went to Riverfront to see them several years ago. They still had that smooth groove and put on a great show.

"The Four Tops' story is one of longevity and togetherness: these Motown legends teamed up in high school and spent over four decades without a single personnel change."

"Levi Stubbs provided the voice for Audrey the man-eating plant in the film version of Little Shop of Horrors."
