Go to your profile to edit. You have the choice there under account settings. Uncheck "allow others to email me".

In fact it is just the opposite check allow others to email me and then it will be hidden.

Am I looking at it wrong?
I thought by checking the box, your email would be posted so others could email you. By leaving it empty, your email is not seen.

I have done both ways and my email is still not showing hidden. I want it to show "hidden."  Any ideas.

You can see it on your own profile when you look at it, but others don't.  Log out and look at it and you'll see what others see.
