I don't see this as a shock.  Smith has wanted out of Harrisburg for some time now.  He was a Whitlee Layne away from being at Mammoth Springs.

Ferrell played at West Fork and University of Ozarks.  Comes from basketball coaching family.  Dad is the new coach at the New School in Fayetteville which will be a power soon.  He won a ton of games at West Fork then coached in college.  Good hire by Caddo

Viola is now open with Middlebrooks departure.

Brookland has 3 finalists for its Jr. Boys position.  One of them is Edgar (Former Highland HC & current BigTiger).  Not positive on the other 2.

Is Highland still looking for an assistant since hiring Middlebrooks?

Do we know anything about Manila girls?

Alexandra Hart is the new Manila Girls Head Coach.  I was told she comes from the Pine Bluff area.  Other than that, I know nothing about her.

Bauxite has hire Brandon Kelley... I believe that's the right name.

Marion hired David Clark from Little Rock Hall.

Cabot is interviewing this week.

Per AAA, Pea Ridge is looking for an assistant.  This could be a great landing spot for a young coach looking to get his/her feet wet.

I'm curious to see if Wimberley leaves for Cabot, who Manila will hire to replace him.  Ashabranner at Rivercrest is from Manila.  He will leave behind a decent roster at Rivercrest though. Jordan Wise also from there if they wish to shoot their program in the foot.  Kenton Weaver would have been a great pick up for them.  Cody Edgar is also looking if Brookland Jr. High falls through for him. Still plenty of coaches to be had out there.

in other words, he got outta dodge before the official reassignment took place... That's a tough place to coach from what I've heard, and he walked into a talented program with expectations only to lose some of that talent and then nose dive is what I'm guessing?

Your guess is as good as mine, I know some kids who play(ed) for him, but I don't really have my finger on the pulse of what is going on over there, I just found this out in a round about way yesterday and confirmed it with someone I know who's kid play(ed) for him.

Who is WE? Iíve talked to several people at Manila and nobody is really pleased with it. Didnít she cuss out a coach at mountain home and pull her girls off the floor without shaking the other teams hand? Why would she want to leave a 6A school for a 3A school? Doesnít make much sense to me unless she has some baggage.

I believe coach Hart got Riffed. Pine Bluff has let go of a lot of teachers. That said she is young and will make mistakes. Give her time she will be fine.
