Rison's local weekly paper always has one section called "Other Days" which shows headlines and partial stories from five years ago, ten years ago, twenty years ago, etc. Sometimes it's fun to see who we played (and beat convincingly) back in the forties, fifties, sixties and such. Watson Chapel, White Hall, Hot Springs, Hot Springs Lakeside, once we even beat Lake Hamilton by over seventy! Imagine that!

The Lake Hamilton score was 87-0. Rison had 8 shutouts in a row that year.
Another one of note that year was beating Warren 45-0.
Seems like we played Joe T. Robinson and NLR Oak Grove that year too, and I believe Monticello.

Ooooooh thatís a good one! Although back then not a lot of high schools played baseball, even the bigger ones. It was American Legion mostly.
