John Widner Court in Morrilton
« on: May 12, 2017, 10:15:27 am »
A an effort to raise $50,000 is underway to dedicate the court at the new Morrilton Arena to legendary former Devil Dogs coach John Widner. We are trying to spread the word, especially to players that played for Widner in the early 1970s and mid 80s. If you played for Coach during that time or know someone who did please share this link.

We appreciate the support of all Devil Dogs fans and alumni and know that the court and the memorial wall in the arena will be a great tribute to a Hall of Fame person and coach.

I remember when coach Widner coached at Leachville. Great coach and person!

Why does $50,000 need to be raised to dedicate a court and decorate a wall? Even if they completely renovated the court it wouldn't cost that much.
