Congrats to the Wynne Yellowjackets on winning the 5a and overall state weightlifting title!   Also, big congrats to Deandre McGill on breaking the state record power clean for his weight class with a lift of 320lbs!  Awesome job guys!!!!!

Weight lifting is a part of football, but I think you're in the wrong thread.  Other High School Sports would probably be more appropriate.

Either way, congratulations.

I think there were a few teams.  Beebe and Nettleton finished 2 and 1 last season I believe.

Overall: Wynne - 5060, 2nd Junction City - 5035, 3rd Booneville 4880,              4th Fountain Lake - 4715, 5th Rogers Heritage 4710.  So it was 5A,2A,4A,3A,6A/7A
in the overall running order.

In 5A it was: Wynne, 2nd Alma, 3rd Beebe, 4th Little Rock Christian.

So you could say, yes there were some other schools in the competition.  When you can beat Junction City in Weight Lifting you have done something.

Yeah, but you also have to think that Booneville was third.  Which means this is a meaningless championship.
