Lots of good coaches/people getting out. What does this say really? My take--- the challenges pressures of parents and fans, lack of administrative support is greater than the reward these days. Selfish kids and parents are driving many out of the game they love.  Again just my take. When you see guys like Bates Tipton and Tedder getting out you have to wonder.

Also, the direction shift in education could be a factor.

I thought I heard that the girls job was going to come open at Cossatot also, but I'm not sure if there is any truth in that.

I think every coach position in Trumann is open besides Waymires. They have major issues in that school from administration to all sports. Not a good conference to try and start a winning streak.

Who was the Coach for Norfork boys? Where did he go? I thought Norfork had a pretty good season that just past.

It was Paul Dee Human. He was a retired superintendent that took over the program two years ago when it was late in the summer and Norfork didn't have much time to do a search for head coach, etc. etc. etc. I think he was one of the many "T-droppers" that you see coaching these days. I am guessing her went back into retirement.

I know that the Ozark Mountain School District is in the process of Hiring a new Superintendent so that may be why it hasn't posted yet.

Within in..... what? St. Joe is one of the tiniest schools in the state and I do believe they have just one coach on staff and he was just hired away at Yellville-Summit. Now you can say "within the district" meaning the Ozark Mountain District because I do believe between the three schools in the district (St. Joe, Western Grove and Bruno-Pyatt) there might be a former coach that can be reassigned to coach the four teams at St. Joe.

I can accept that...they've been historically bad for years now...But you'd have to think that it's more money...and if you did turn around that program you'd be almost a legend lol

Coaching boys basketball at Batesville is almost like coaching boys basketball at a Texas high school.... no one there cares about it. Batesville is all about football and baseball. No one there cares about whats in the middle. I can't think of any other place like it in Arkansas.

Though possible, I doubt it. His wife stated the other day about how they are staying in NWA. Also, a local reporter stated that Greg is going to remain at SHS as a teacher and do national coaching clinics.

He may have just applied to say how much they pay, which I bet does not even come close to what he is getting at Springdale just for teaching! Schools in the Harrison area don't pay much, which is why Bobby Howard went to Wynne for a $17,000 a year raise.

That's a possibility. You're right about the pay. Pretty much all of the big four's first step in pay is more than most school's 10th step.

I can't imagine.  His wife is involved with fitness training in NWA and this just sounds too far out there to give it a pause.

My guess is it's girls. Kelvin Hudson has been filling in the last to years but he is AD and middle school principal so I am guessing they are going to look for a full timer.....
