Perry had an elementary when I was a youngster at Casa. They had pee wee basketball teams. Their mascot was the Bears.
I wondered about that....I've actually been in the old gym at Perry, but wasn't sure of the bear logo cause it seemed Cartoony
My all time favorite is the Hartford Hustlers. I also found this in the FF archives.
For quite some time, my friends have tried to stump me by giving me the name of a high school in Arkansas and asking me to name the mascot. Just to settle all doubters, I sat down with my buddy Taylor and with his help, named all 208 from memory. Enjoy!

Kensett (community just to the south of Searcy) I believe they were the Blue Devils. (I was in 2nd grade, so the details are a little fuzzy after 35 years) When I was a kid we lived in Georgetown, and when we went to town we would stop at the Blue Devil diner and get a milk shake. Still to this day that is the best Chocolate Malt I have ever had.

And Oak Grove was a combination of Rosston and Oak Grove. I always thought it was a consolidated school since at their district tournaments it was listed as Rosston-Oak Grove. Those schools struggled being in same district as McNeil, Waldo, Okolona, Amity and others.

I wonder how many of the old gyms are still in existance>?
I know Big Flat, Bruno, Pyatt, Leslie (used by Marshall) are all still standing.

They occasionally have pee-wee games at the old Leslie Gym.
