Offseason Max Numbers

I know this is always leads to a lot of lies, but also entertaining.  Hopefully we get some truthful maxes and see them at the state weight meet at Alma April 25th.  What are some top maxes at your school and pound for pound strongest for bench, squat, powerclean, and deadlift?

Prescott linebacker Maleric Butler benches 305 and power cleans 225.  Not sure what he squatted.  He weighs 158.  Great bench for that weight.

Pretty impressive. If he got his powerclean up some, he could prolly win hist weight class.

Don't get me wrong, very good powerclean. However, I know kids in that weight class that can do 250+ at the state weight meet. Hope he keeps up the hard work and improves in all phases.

That's a top notch Bench, average to above average clean if the kid is athletic at all

So is that 157,165 or a 168 wt class?
I know states and organizations are different; NASA , uspla, aau etc

That player would be in the 149-165 weight class. The records are: bench-360, power clean-290, overall-635. I don't see the bench being broke for a while. I still see 305 as one of the top benches for that weight class, just not power clean.

That's a great power clean.  He also has a really good bench, but usually high school kids are a lot stronger on the bench cause that's all they care about.  If he can get his up about another 30 or 40 pounds.  He could probably win his weight class.  Also, great squat!!

I believe the state record is 315 for that weight class.  He isn't far from it.  Hopefully he'll be at the state weight meet and be 20 pounds stronger on it.

I would think someone like Doug Vinson would have been in the mix had he went back in his stint at GR. He was a stout kid.
