As if being out of state for almost a week wasn't enough, I also need to recover from this.

Pottsville (6) @ Ozark
Another positive step was made by the Hillbilly offense was made in the MUD PIT last week: playing through adversity. the various hurdles present in prior games (critical flags, dropped passes, etc.) kept it close for much of the midgame, and the first possession of the second half was full of laundry, but suddenly plays were made at the right time and they didn't look back. The experience will now need to be applied when the Apaches come to the Cabin to open the key stretch run that will define Ozark's season. The toughest defense in the 4A-4 should be ready, but it will be the offense that will determine the outcome.

Booneville (6) @ Dardanelle
Both teams have rebounded nicely after falling short to open conference play. The Lizards lead the conference in total points scored this season (38.7 PPG) and are 2nd overall in points allowed (14 PPG, 4.2 PPG in their five wins). The sophomore-laden Bearcats have rebounded from their 1-3 start rather nicely, outscoring their last three opponents by a rough 3-1 margin. Dardy has gathered the numbers, but I expect Booneville to come in more motivated: With the cellar teams ahead, the Cats can practically clinch the top seed with a win.

West Fork @ Dover (30)
In the span of two games, the Pirates have gone from controlling the conference race to fighting for their playoff lives. The good news is that they only need to win two of their final three to lock one in. The first can easily come against a Tiger side that risks a letdown after Ozark withstood their homecoming surge.

Subiaco @ Waldron (35)
A letdown after a huge win, or a harsh reality check? Either way, the Bulldogs did not look their best against one of the conference's better teams. The good news is that they can lock in a playoff berth by winning their next two. The only real issue is looking ahead to next week's contest on the Hillside.
