Decided to try te live stream from Airedale Nation tonight and I have been more than disappointed after all the talk I have heard about it, picture was continually skipping, they kept switching cameras to horrible angles, and never showed the score. I am hoping I caught it on a bad night.

hogwild29

I think we both did mines is not even working

sevenof400

I just tried to watch the Alma - FC game and was bombarded by political commercials....

WTH?

Porker, just upgrade your computer.  I had no problems other the not showing the score.  Just be glad you could watch it.

seven, well, you know.  LOL.

PORKEROINKER

My computer is fine, watch live streams all the time on ESPN3 and other sites!

I was proud and boastful of our past performance when it came to our live stream, so I'll take credit for this one not going so well. No excuses, lay the blame at my feet, I can take it.

Did you really think that a high school live stream would work like espn3?  ::)

I was glad to get to see some of the game. I appreciate the effort. I still do not understand why the AAA does not allow it on all games...thanks for the effort

Simple answer - they are fascists.

I think they are afraid that streaming games may cut into their profit.

P.F.G.

The AAA has to find a way to maximize its profits off of high school children. Anything that cuts into that isn't going to fly.

artraveler

The problem with AAA is that they are public school administrators, not marketers. If they want to truly get better with marketing their product to the state masses (and make more money), they have to add marketing & sales professional resources.  Whether out of fear or loss of control, I doubt this will happen. That is a shame, because there is so much opportunity to grow state tournament events across several sports, and make them more lucrative.

No I don't expect it to work as well as ESPN3, I was just stating the my computer is capable of playing more complex live streams than the one Alma is using. I am sure I just caught it on an off night. I guess I will have to wait until next year to find out though.

Not unless you're watching the 6A tournament.

I personally think you do a good job.   I also think that they should appreciate Airedale Nation and Alma for trying to petition the AAA for permission so that other schools teams could be streamed during the tournament.

Why not??

Xtreme owns the board and has followers so I'm sure he would be more than willing to show sportsmanship to BillyJack and Paw-Paw.  :)

Think back to your days as a pledge, I'm old school, we still haze. Seriously, it's been a gentleman's agreement to rotate it between East/Central and South as long as there were schools that were interested in bidding. It hasn't always worked that way 100%, but generally follows that pattern. Just because you have a big new gym doesn't guarantee you host, they want everyone to enjoy the travel, haha.

Yeah, we had a pretty decent washout rate after JI semester, I'm glad now that I have kids in school they do it differently.

Back to the tournament, I suspect they will continue to move it around, but with the AAA and schools involved, no telling.

The AAA has been known to buck the system and give a bid out to a place that they make the most money at.
