Instead of posting scores in different threads by day, I figured making a thread posting all scores from the season would be better. If you can, include the scores (obviously), the date of the game, some stats, interesting plays from the game, etc. Let's make this thread a little more interesting than just the score, and hopefully we can stir up some interest in this board. Hope everyone has a great baseball season. Hopefully the great weather will come with it!
I'll start...
3/7/18
Marion-7 Nettleton-4
Braeden Wolford started for Marion, Hilson for Nettleton. It was a pretty good game by both sides. I was impressed with Hilson (at least 10 MLB scouts there to watch) but was also impressed by the Marion hitters being able to extend AB's against him. Pretty sure he hit 92-93 on the gun a few times. This 5A-6A East conference should be very competitive minus a few teams and definitely should be fun to watch.

Sounds like a great game!!
Jumper not only has an elite arm for a freshman, but has some of the best offspeed I have seen for his age. He's an athlete and competes at a high level in both sports.

I agree but he did not play in this game. I am very glad we have him on the team. He is a great kid and his mom and granddad are good people.

Hill did not pitch. Both teams started their #2.
Hill went 1-2, got picked off 1st, struck out, and had an error at 3rd. Not a great day for him. Ashdown looked lost. They used 4 pitchers and all got tagged. Not sure if it was just a bad day for them or if they don't have much behind Hill on the mound. Nashville finished with 15 hits, 9 doubles. I expect the rematch to be a completely different game.

Hats off to Valley View. Their coaches had them ready for the game and they hit well. Once momentum was on their side they grabbed and ran with it. It was not a good day for JHS but we all have them. No excuses VV just stepped up and out played us.
Much like the early loss last year maybe it will motivate JHS to get better by working harder and understanding you can win or lose on any given day. JHS will rebound once they figure out who needs to be where in the field. Once that happens they will be better at the plate as well.
Bottom line is Congratulations. VV has some talented kids and should do well this year. I feel DL is one of the best all around athletes on VV team but not trying to take away from anyone. He has worked hard to come back from the surgery and should really excel from here on out.

I hate to lose but it was one of the best wins for VV for motivation and, believe it or not, a great loss for JHS for motivation. VV was prepared. Look what happened last year when we lost the first game to VV. It motivated the JHS team for a great remaining year of games. When the coaches get things set we will do well. We have the tools and it will come around.

I agree with this, Jonesboro definitely has the talent, and they will get it worked out!! Best of luck to the Canes !!

El Dorado won. Wildcats beat Taylor 7-0 and Parker's Chapel 11-1 on Thursday, beat Camden 11-1 on Friday then beat Magnolia 6-1 in the championship game Saturday night. Great crowds for the El Do vs PC and Magnolia games.

Maumelle dropped 2 against Sylvan Hills last week then rebounded with wins over Mills (17-0) and Parkview (13-1, 10-4). I'll say this - Parkview could be dangerous in the conference tournament if their pitching staff can pound the zone. We took advantage of walks tonight but they've got some kids who can throw. Coach Keith has done a good job with their program.
