After a slow start in the second half, Warrior's pass defense looked a lot better.

All things considered, this was a very good win for the Warriors. Mansfield is a legit team this year, notwithstanding their big loss to Booneville. Their QB is for real and they have some size. With their passing attack they had the ability to strike deep at any time.

Lamar stayed cool, even with turnovers and several penalties against Mansfield. Stayed with what brung them, and got it done. On a wet field.

Impressive win for the Warriors. They'll need to play their best for all four quarters next week. Can't afford to come out flat.
