Dajunn Harris RB/LB: (missed 2 full games-injury)
114 rushes for 1,040 yards 15 TDs (9.1 per carry)

Blake Wynn WR/Safety:
37 receptions for 675 yards 6 TDs
20 tackles 2 ints

Just an honest question, whats up with the qb`s td to int ratio? Is it mostly his fault for throwing into bad coverage, receivers not going to get the ball, or what?

Since 9/11 interceptions were to the same receiver, most DEFINITELY a QB problem, throws   into coverage. I  expect we will see same issue in playoffs

Should be the best 1st round game and toughest 5th seed. Newport hasn't done very well against teams from the 8-4a since moving down in 2002.
2006- Newport was a 5th seed and beat Dollarway, then beat undefeated Pocahontas and lost to Fordyce on a field goal in the quarterfinals.
2007- Newport finishes 10-0 and gets 1st round bye and got 2nd seed Dumas in the 2nd round and lost a close one.
2008- Newport loses to Dollarway in semifinals in ot on a 2 point conversion

BTW LJ06,  I was under the impression that Arky was 2nd seed, since they beat Mena!

7-4A was a mess,  Mena beat everyone except Arkadelphia and Nashville,
Malvern beat everyone except Mena and Nashville
Arkadelphia loss to Nashville, Malvern, and Ashdown!

7-4A in my opinion is pretty much dead even when it come to skill. There is no clear separation as to who's is actually the best! If you match up any of those teams in a 6 game series the results would be 3/3 split. I'm expecting Nashville or Malvern to possibly make it to the end simply based on thier match ups.

Star City vs Newport? What are the odds? Ive been wishing for this all year long !!  I got to be honest, when I first saw SC play the Rabbits, I was not impressed; I thought they had a lot of work to do on offense as well as defense.  However,  since then the  bulldogs have become a force in formidable force in 4A (knocking off Dollarway in other top ranked opponents) !  I'm still convince we will win, but win, loose or draw...the bull dogs have my respect!! Plus those guys can talk noise and eat crow with the best of them!

Thanks Ashy Larry, honestly Im not that  judgemental or narcissistic. As a fan of both Newport and arkansas HS football, I have followed the blogs on FF and other accredited sites for years.  Noticing after a while that there seemed to be a consistent lack of enthusiasm and notability in regards to my very own Newport Greyhounds,  I decided to interject with the "CatchTheGreyHound"  concept and Idea that Newport was not only worthy of notoriety, but also capable of being one of the best in 4-A.
