Some notes about Week 2:

--Overall victor accuracy was 89.9%, with a margin accuracy of 3.75%.
--Biggest shocker was Vilonia @ Pottsville, with 6 misses out of 11 picks. To drive the shock further, those who picked the Apaches gravely underestimated the margin, meaning that no one was even close to earning the bonus assigned to it.
--Dardanelle, Dover, Ozark, and Elkins were all unanimous picks.
--Props to elvis26 for scoring the most points in Week 2.

I was wondering if I needed to remind a few that this was a thing.

After tonight...I guess not...  ;D

Booneville (15) @ Vilonia
Judging by how we handled the Eagles' previous game, their loss to Pottsville seemed to be a total shock to the system. And then we're reminded that they're in a rebuilding year. Not a good situation for revenge trips, as the local conference favorites come charging in. Even without Carson Ray, the Bearcats should prevail in comfortable fashion.

Charleston (6) @ Ozark
The Hillbilly offense seems to have made its presence known to start the season: The 75 points scored in the first two weeks is the highest therein since 1999. The veteran defense, however, needs some stability: Despite making critical stops and game-changing plays, they've also allowed huge gains of yardage on not-uncommon occasions, and the 58 points allowed is ahead of only West Fork amongst conference teams. Not exactly comforting news with the Franklin County Feud looming. I'm expecting a rather-lengthy barn-burner in the Cabin Friday night, but even with the versatility on offense, the hosts will still need to prove themselves against the likes of Flanagan, Wisdom, and their fellow Tigers.

Clarksville @ Dardanelle (14)
Two weeks in, and the Panthers have sent a clear message: Be ready to play the entire game, or they will make you pay. Of their 55 points scored so far, 39 have been after halftime. On the other hand, their defense might do well to follow that advice themselves, especially after being outscored 49-14 before halftime. Regardless, it's now pretty clear that teams with at least decent offenses can help temper the looming danger of Clarksville's single wing, and the Sand Lizards look to be another side with that label.

Dover (27) @ Lavaca
The Arrows seem a bit snapped this year, a notion that the Pirates are more than happy to reinforce. A bigger danger is looking ahead, as three of the next four will set Dover trajectory for the rest of the season.

Panama, OK (35) @ Subiaco
How toxic have the Trojans become? The Hogs didn't win another game after beating them last year. This season looks to be more of the same, with the guests trying to keep from crashing and burning in the weeks ahead.

Prairie Grove (35) @ West Fork
Let's face it: the only reason the BGTF is still a thing is because of the schools' proximity. In fact, that's the entire point of WF's nonconfernce slate, since their closest opponent outside Washington Co. this year is along the Arkansas River.

Shiloh (13) @ Pottsville
The Apaches appeared to have returned to form last week, even as their domination over Vilonia is tempered by the Eagles' inexperience. Regardless, the FF staff seems impressed with Pottsville, giving them the conference's only Top-10  4A ranking from that bunch. Alas, the next six weeks will show whether the hosts are worthy of said ranking, and the Saints' offense will prove a lofty first test.

Waldron @ Mena (20)
The Bulldogs have won their first two games again, but unlike last year, they weren't the utter dominations they were in 2016. With four of their next five trending up, there should already be a sense of urgency in Scott Co.

Should be a Sense of Urgency in Scott Co?

What for?

If they go 5-5 that's a pretty good year...considering where that programs been in the past, I would think.
