I love Dan Campbell as a coach and what he has done for Detroit. But he flat out lost that game. When it's 24-10 you have to just take the 3 points and get up by 3 scores at that point. Likely makes it where one decent drive the rest of the game by Detroit simply makes San Fran not have enough time to come back. Not even to throw in the fact SF has to change its play calling much of the rest of the night. Now did the Detroit players go absolutely off the wheels with their dropped passes and the fumble to hand SF 7 more points. Yes they did. But Campbell has to trust his defense at some point and just make SF march the whole field on the defense.

Will this crush the momentum of Detroit or will this give them the drive to go even harder? They have about another 3 year window to try again with so many of their starters on rookie deals right now they can still add to their team a couple more years. The team to look out for in the next 3 years is also the Houston Texans. So much talent on rookie deals they will have the most cap space this offseason and won a playoff game this season.

Such heartbreak at the end of such a game can have a huge impact going forward. You asked a great question that we will be able to look back and say that this was the moment.... good or bad.

tbh the 1st fourth down call didn't lose the game, Josh Reynolds did. It was a good play call and dude was open, but couldn't rein the ball in

Of course this robot is back in the super bowl. The Chiefs are officially the new Patriots. They'll win 19 of 23 AFC West titles or wtv and Mahomes will be in the Super Bowl every year. Heck, now they have the defense to match. All they need is to trade for an alpha WR and run the regular season table but lose to a massive underdog in the SB

Man, looks like greenlaw is out with an injury sustained while jumping around on the sidelines.

That's a story to tell to your kids  :P but yeah that's really big for SF

Man, this 49ers defense has gotten to Mahomes either for sacks or for just 2-3 yard runs (pretty much a sack for mahomes take what you can get lol) more than I think I've ever seen in any game

Taylor Swift flew all the way from Tokyo to Las Vegas just to watch Travis Kelce catch one pass for one yard in the first half.

Don't forget him shoving his coach ..

And I'm pretty sure we seen her slam some drinks in the box though, so she'll have a good time one way or the other

#8 ATL - Michael Penix Jr/QB/UW (why..did..they..nvm)

We needed a backup for Kirk Cousins. If our recent track record of #8 picks continues, Penix will be great for us.

In 2022, we drafted Drake London at #8. In 2023, we drafted Bijan Robinson at #8.

We did sign Kirk for four years, so I think we are going to have Penix in the Jordan Love role. Sit and learn behind a veteran for a few years, and then when Kirk retires/leaves/whatever, Penix can step up like Jordan Love did in Green Bay.
