Turrell JV has open dates to fill

You won't see the Turrell Rockets in any of the standings this year. But that doesn't mean they are done playing senior high football. Turrell is playing a JV schedule for the next two seasons to try and build their program back up.

You won't read stories about their games in any newspaper. You won't see highlights of their games on Hooten's. You won't hear any Turrell scores on the Buzz on Friday nights.

But their senior high players will still give it everything they have and leave it all on the field on Monday nights. Those kids will still get to say "I played football in high school".

NEARsports.com honors the efforts of the Turrell Rockets. Their page remains on our website with their JV schedule proudly posted.

NEARsports Radio also honors the Turrell Rockets. We will air their first two football games live on September 4th and 11th.

The Rockets would like to add two more games to their schedule in October. Coaches, if you have a JV squad and open dates in October, the Rockets would be glad to invite you to Turrell for a game. Of the five games they have on their schedule, only the opener is at home. They'd love to finish with their last two games at home, so please ask your superintendents or athletic directors for some gas money.
