Who does your son play for?
He plays for OBU. Set to be starting QB this fall. Nervous and excited at the same time. Haha. His name is Brayden Brazeal.

Oh wow... You definitely have the right to be a proud papa. Best wishes to him and OBU in the fall. Just a great school to be at in general. You should definitely be proud.
OBU and Harding have had some solid stretches lately.... And I really like the middle of the pack in the GAC. Very balanced league and ultra competitive always on a weekly basis.
I'm a Southern Baptist and should probably support OBU as they are part of the Southern Baptist Convention, but chose to go be a Mulerider. I hope he does well every game except against the Mulerider! He should have some solid receivers to throw to. Good luck to him!
Thanks mulerider. He was almost a mulerider. He loved that offense but proximity and relationships made him a tiger. Was a heckuva game between them last year. I expect the same this year.
Yeah even though it's at OBU, not much of a drive for SAU. So don't think the travel will be much of a factor.
And once again, a transfer QB has been brought to Russellville.
Somewhere, Josh Price is weeping (maybe)...
Do they not recruit QBs from highschools?

I think sometimes they get lucky and get a small school D1 transfer or a D1-FCS boy to transfer down. Kinda of like Tanner Hudson for SAU, he came from Memphis.

Yes, they do. Two other QBs on the roster were actually recruited in-county.
They had been in a fight for the starting job prior to this development.

The new QB is Manny Harris. He comes to Tech via Cisco JC, UTSA, and Copperas Cove.
He was
this close to transferring to TCU, but backed out due to affordability concerns.
Harris will be a grad transfer in Russellville, and has two years remaining.

There is something fishy about him, I can't find much stats on him. I hope the best for him, but he couldnt cut it out at UTSA, why would he of tried to transfer to TCU?

Exactly. And when hes gone, another transfer QB im sure.
Whatever works. Transfer QBs have been hit or miss for sure. Had some really good transfer WR a few years ago too.

Anytime ATU goes down....I am good. Go Weevils.
But I see where Dennis Daniels(Class of 2017 Warren) is still on the roster for the muleriders. Best of luck to him!
Regarding Arkansas Tech (against SAU).....
ATU seemed "uncomfortable" with their offense. They seemed to be running a faster paced offense (compared to 2017), but were having trouble getting passes right: too short, too long, drops.
It was a really hot evening.......and SAU pretty much has all their d-line back from last year.

Hey, I was there, too! Yeah, there were quite a few turnovers on both teams.
I was really impressed with the LEADERSHIP shown by the SAU defense. The SAU offense was having a bad day, but the SAU defense was supportive and positive. And rose to the situation, no matter how bad.

UAM had the ball with a little under 2 minutes. Throws a pass down the sideline, moves to their own 40-ish yard line! Then, UAM runs a running play? And fumbles! Tough night for UAM.
So, at the quarter-way point:

2 at 2-1 (OKB, HU)

It's just not the whistles in the Ravine. I think overall the state of officiating in the GAC is pathetic. Clock management doesn't resemble any level of football I've ever seen. UC that just didn't make sense on both sides of the ball. DPI with no contact or anything. Seems like officials forget that people aren't there to see them. As an official I've always bee of the belief that my presence should not be memorable. It should be effective but that's all.

-OBU, with backup QB, does a long drive, and scores a TD!

UAM deserves a little success every once in a while. They are usually terrible at football. Hopefully they will represent the GAC well.
As for SAU, it looks like it's going to be SAU vs Missouri Western. Missiouri Western's football coach leaked it on his twitter that his team will be bowling. This means Pittsburg State, which finished higher in the MIAA and Midwestern (9-2 and only lost each game by one point) will not be bowling. Waiting for official announcement tomorrow.
