If the new contact rule passes it will effectively end the JV Game schedule as we know it. Each player will only be allowed to play tackle football three days per week (includes games); consequently, Friday counts as one day, Tuesday and Wednesday count as days two and three. Since most teams need their JV players to prepare for Friday night, most schools will be forced to cancel Monday night JV football games.

So pretty much this rule would only eliminate JV games. Most varsity teams don't dress out on Mondays anyways. They just lift weights, watch film, and game plan for the coming week. If this rule passes it would be a shame.

They should tweak the contact rule a little and apply it only to prom and leave football alone.

What exactly is the punishment when a team gets caught having more than 3 days contact?

I read the article about what's going on in California & Gov. Brown signed, I suppose one day football will change to flag, or maybe two below the waist.

Well they keep saying football as we know it will be dead within 25 years. I'm starting to believe that. If legislation and new laws don't stop the wussification of the game it will be very soon. 7 on 7 could become actual football.

If not 7 on 7, it will only be soccer!
