Thought this would be a fun thread to start and discuss players with recent offers in 4A, and also any new commitments that may occur in the next few months. Hopefully this will keep going through season and have many additions to it. ;D

All exceptional athletes with very bright futures.

I know Stafford(only know his last name) LB from Newport has an offer from Harding, and more are to come. 6'1 range I believe, and not sure on weight and speed. Whippersnapper will help lol

LB Parker Witt of Dardenelle has an offer from Arkansas Tech, and Arkansas is taking a hard look at him I hear. Great size and speed. 6'2 225. 4.55 was clocked as his fastest 40 time. Just switched to linebacker this past spring I believe.

Harrison Lester of Clinton has an offer from Arkansas Tech also, and is very close to an offer with UCA. 6'2 1/2" 240 lbs. fastest 40 is a 4.68, and UCA is looking at him for H-Back I believe. Plays MLB also.

Give sizes and stats of players included if possible. Want to get to know the future gentlemen that will be playing at the next level from Arkansas!

I expect all of those you listed to get a few D1 offers before February.

I went back and edited my post with heights and weights

Clintonjacket44

I edited mine as well. I didn't do it at first either lol. I find the recruiting process one of the most interesting topics in high school football. I really hope this thread gets going. Looking forward to the kids who break out and join the mix as well.

Oh yeah I really enjoy keeping up with it to. There is a lot of talent in the state the next few years

What about EC from Arkie has he gotten any offers yet.

Clintonjacket44

Saw Emanuel at OBU camp. He meets the eye test. He's a very impressive athlete, and I expect some offers to come his way.  Nashville has a linemen I believe that had a very good showing at UCA's camp. Hawgfan, have any details on this young man?

Jacketman65

Heard there was a kid at the Ar. camp from south Ar. that ran a 4.3! Maybe Nashville?  Serious speed there, also another TE commit from Fayetteville.  How many TE'S do we need on the hill?

CounterPunch

Capps from SC has offers from Arkansas, Louisville, and Miss State

Sam Jackson and Dajunn Harris have the potential for D1 offers as well

Yes that is SR DE Braden Hood. He is 6'2 250 and ran a 4.8. He is the strongest guy in the weight room also. He is benching 300+

That kid is Jordan Jones from Smackover. Ran a 4.34 at the Arkansas camp and is 6'2 180. Arkansas offered and he accepted. He will only be a junior this year, 2016 class

I heard where Arkansas offered him and a rb from Camden. Nice to see south Arkansas getting a look again. Coach b may turn the program around after all

whippersnapper

Stafford is getting looks from Ole Miss and the Hogs currently. Others have shown interest but none as much as these two as of now. Stafford will not blow anyone away with speed but what he may lack in his 40 time he makes up for with his size, instincts and being a football player. He is 6'2 230 range right now going into his senior year. Also a multi sport athlete. I think he is a real steal for whatever team gets him regardless on level of play.

Haven't offered the RB from Camden yet but they are going to keep a close eye on him. He had a really good day though too.

Clintonjacket44

Anyone from the Lonoke area? I know they had a solid linebacker, and a very solid 2016 running back. They have an impressive, and athletic quarterback running their 7 on 7 offense so far this summer.

Still nice to see smaller south Arkansas school athletes getting a look. Too bad they waited until Pettway had other offers before seriously looking at him, he would have been a nice receiver to throw to if we could get a qb

Clintonjacket44

If Arkansas can get as many In-State recruits to the hill, the better. They're hitting Arkansas hard, and I love it.

polksalet

Too bad they didn't recruit arkansas while searching for a head coach....

Not sure of the player's name, but did the QB from Lincoln who had an outstanding year this past season move schools? Any truth to this?

whippersnapper

Yes his dad was the head coach and took an assistant job at benton.

I am close to Sr. Braden Hood from Nashville and as much as I hate to say it, he could only wish to be 6'2 250. He is 6'0 225 right now with a best 40 of 4.7 and a 4.3 shuttle with a 31 inch vertical and 340 pound bench press. He was also All-Conference last year.

Worked with a guy several years ago that said he was the all time leader in tackles at Fordyce and he was on the LSU roster at one point then played at UAM. Again, he must have never heard of Google. Ha.
