Cedric Smith will return next year for ms liking two hundred yards to break the school record.  and he will do some damage with the new line lots of speed and size the lines average weight is bout 220.they will have power and cedric can move when we hand him the ball

Brian Coleman of Marked Tree returns as starting running back....He was selected All State Running back last year as a Junior...Look for him leading the team in scoring as well as being a true Captain, along with William Ruthven as QB, and Traveon Powell as back up running back

Norphlet returns feature back Herman Curly for his senior season.  The sophomores this season will have to step up big as well but they did that last season.  Nick Leichmon will probably carry the rock some as well.  Kid has great speed.

Mineral Springs V/S Dierks  (33-31)- All Time

State Titles (Dierks has 1 in the past 30 years and a couple more in the early days. They also went to the championship game last year with a 10 th grade qb leading the way)

Stat Titles  (Mineral Springs has a goose egg- They really havnt ever got as much attention as dierks has got in the past 2 years, so go figure)

I remember two seasons ago in a rain storm, we beat yall 36-0........... Yall were lucky it rained.........that team would have easly hung 60+ on yall.

i still remember a comment that was made from a MS fan during that rain...dierks was on offense and we snapped the ball and fumbled it and MS got it...and someone from the MS stands said "ha that kinda offense dont work in the rain does it..." well i was standing there thinkin ha good one...when on the very next snap...MS fumbles the ball right back to us...i do remember hearing someone say"ha doesnt look like your offense works in the rain either"

yes yall beat us last year....It was not pretty. Mineral Springs also lost games they should have won just as we lost some we should of won it happens. I cant wait for this season I think it will be very interesting.

Well i live in conway, but i like to watch Bigelow and Perryville... and i say that Landon Jones will have 950 yards as a junior.. and for Bigelow Travis Brown will have 1500 yards to go along with Ryan Goodwins 1000 yards...

goodwin will be lucky to get 500 if he even gets playin time browns to slow to get around the end and all you have to do is trip him and heck he'll go down. jones gettin 950 sounds pretty close knowing he gets around the end he'll leave most people

Ryan won't even get close to that he is hurt and they are going to be feeding Travis the ball all the time and Travis will never get that because his conference is just to tough and he doesn't have the o-line to back him up and for Landon well we will just have to see

MS is cool like that though. They barely make the playoffs then leave in the 2nd round by LR Episcopal (A team we beat handily in the fourth round), and we finish runner-up at the state final, but they were the better because they beat us 1 time in the past three years.

[Wow it only took Duercks 20 years to beat Mineral. Lets see what kind of butt whopin the Hornets put on yall this season.]
