Title: State championship
Post by: Mj4465 on May 02, 2017, 09:44:03 pm
I am just curious.  Quitman's Coach Tim Hooten has won 3 state titles this year in 2A; Cross country, basketball, and track and field.  Does anyone know if any other coach has ever accomplished this?

Not sure about in 2A but it has been done in other classifications (one coach winning 3 in one year).   Heber Springs, Russvegas, DeQueen, Bentonville, and Rogers I believe. I cannot name all the coaches.

I believe one year Juntion City won Football, Baseball, Boys Track, and Weightlifting.  Girls were runner-up in softball that year and won cheerleading.

Loads of schools have won bunches of titles in a single year.  Bentonville girls yearly.  This answered for one coach in one year.   JC has truly been a powerhouse. Carpenter probably for three of those four!

I'm a transplant from Oklahoma so I didn't really know. But I knew someone on here would. This blog is like the encyclopedia for sports.
