SESSION 1 - All updates are American unless otherwise

In the Men's Discus Throw Qualifications: Mason Finley qualified for the final with a 6th best throw of 63.68 meters. Andrew Evans did not qualify for the final with the 16th best throw of 61.87 meters. Tavis Bailey did not qualify for the final with the 26th best throw of 59.81 meters.

In the Women's Heptathlon: The women heptathletes started with their first event, the 100m Hurdles. Kendell Williams finished 4th with a time of 13.04 seconds. Heather Miller-Koch finished 12th with a time of 13.56 seconds. Barbara Nwaba finished 22nd with a time of 13.81 seconds.

In the Women's Heptathlon: Total Point Standings after one event: Kendell Williams was in 4th with 1118 points. Heather Miller-Koch was in 12th with 1041 points. Barbara Nwaba was in 22nd with 1005 points.

In the Women's Shot Put Qualification: Michelle Carter qualified for the final with a 3rd best throw of 19.01 meters. Raven Saunders qualified for the final with a 4th best throw of 18.83 meters. Felisha Johnson did not qualify for the final with the 14th best throw of 17.69 meters.

In the Men's 800 Meter Run Round 1: Boris Berian qualified for the semifinals with the 6th seed and a time of 1:45.87. Clayton Murphy qualified for the semifinals with the 22nd seed and a time of 1:46.18. Charles Jock did not qualify for the semifinals in 30th place with a time of 1:47.06.

In the Women's Heptathlon: The women went into their second of seven events which is the High Jump. Barbara Nwaba finished 10th with a jump of 1.83 meters. Kendell Williams finished 11th with a jump of 1.83 meters. Heather Miller-Koch finished 14th with a jump of 1.80 meters.

In the Women's Heptathlon: Total Point Standings after Two Events, Kendell Williams is in 6th with a score of 2134 points. Barbara Nwaba is in 12th place with 2021 points. Heather Miller-Koch is in 13th place with 2019 points.

In the Women's 10000 Meter Run: Molly Huddle finished 6th with a time of 30:13.17 and that is a NEW AMERICAN RECORD. Emily Infeld finished 11th with a time of 31:26.94 which is a personal best for her. Marielle Hall finished 33rd with a time 32:39.32. RAZORBACK ALERT: Dominique Scott competed for South Africa in this event and finished 21st with a personal best time of 31:51.47. It should also be noted that the world record was smashed in this event by Olympic Gold Medal winner Almaz Ayana (29:17.45) of Ethiopia.

What's coming up in Session 2 for America?

Women's 1500 Meter Heats - 6:30 PM Central
Brenda Martinez (Heat 1), Jennifer Simpson (Heat 2), and Shannon Rowbury (Heat 3) will compete. To qualify for the Semifinals, you must be either top 6 in your heat or one of the next 6 fastest times.

Women's Heptathlon 3rd Event: Shot Put - 6:35 PM Central
Barbara Nwaba (1st Group), Heather Miller-Koch (1st Group), and Kendell Williams (2nd Group) will compete. They are, obviously, just trying to throw the shot put as far as possible to add to their Heptathlon Points.

Women's Hammer Throw Group 1 Qualification - 6:40 PM Central
DeAnna Price and Gwen Berry will compete. To qualify for the Finals, they will have to either throw 72.00 meters or be in the top 12 overall (this includes Group 2 of throwers).

Men's 400 Meter Run Heats - 7:05 PM Central
Gil Roberts (Heat 1), LaShawn Merritt (Heat 5), and David Verburg (Heat 6) will compete. To qualify for the Semifinals, they must either be top 3 in their heat or one of the next three fastest times.

Men's Long Jump Qualification - 7:20 PM Central
Jeff Henderson (Group 1), Mike Hartfield (Group 2), and Jarrion Lawson (Group 2) will compete. To qualify for the Finals, they must either jump 8.15 meters or be in the top 12 overall.

Women's Shot Put Finals - 8:00 PM Central
Michelle Carter and Raven Saunders will compete. They are looking to throw further than the competition and medal.

Women's Heptathlon 4th Event: 200 Meter Dash - 8:05 PM Central
Barbara Nwaba (Heat 3), Heather Miller-Koch (Heat 3), and Kendell Williams (Heat 4) are looking to run as fast as possible to add to their Heptathlon Points.

Women's Hammer Throw Group 2 Qualification - 8:10 PM Central
Amber Campbell will compete. She needs to either throw 72.00 meters or be in the top 12 overall (this includes Group 1) to qualify for the Finals.

Women's 100 Meter Dash Heats - 8:40 PM Central
Tori Bowie (Heat 3), Tianna Bartoletta (Heat 5), and English Gardner (Heat 8 ) will compete. To qualify for the Semifinals, they must be top 2 in their heat or one of the next 8 fastest times.

SESSION 2 - All updates are American unless otherwise specified.

In the Women's 1500 Meter Run Heats: Shannon Rowbury qualified for the Semifinal with a time of 4:06.47 and will be the 2 seed. Jennifer Simpson qualified for the final with a time of 4:06.99 and will be the 10 seed. Brenda Martinez qualified for the Semifinal with a time of 4:11.74 and will be the 21 seed.

In the Women's Heptathlon 3rd Event: The shot put is the third event of the heptathlon. Barbara Nwaba threw 14.81 meters and finished 3rd. Heath Miller-Koch threw 12.91 meters and finished 22nd. Kendell Williams threw 11.21 meters and finished 29th. After 3 events in the heptathlon, Barbara Nwaba was 9th with 2869 points. Kendell Williams was 18th with 2743 points. Heather Miller-Koch was 19th with 2740 points.

In the Women's Hammer Throw Qualification: Amber Campbell qualified for the final with the 8th best throw of 71.09 meters. DeAnna Price qualified for the final with the 9th best throw of 70.79 meers. Gwen Berry did not qualify for the final with the 14th best throw of 69.90 meters.

In the Men's 400 Meter Dash Heats: Gil Roberts qualified for the Semifinals with the 10th seed and a time of 45.27 seconds. LaShawn Merritt qualified for the Semifinals with the 11th seed and a time of 45.28 seconds. David Verburg qualified for the Semifinals with the 22nd seed and a time of 45.48 seconds.

In the Men's Long Jump Qualification: Jeff Henderson qualified for the final with the 2nd best jump of 8.20 meters. RAZORBACK ALERT: Jarrion Lawson qualified for the final with the 7th best jump of 7.99 meters. Michael Hartfield did not qualify for the final with the 25th best jump of 7.66 meters.

In the Women's Shot Put Finals: Michelle Carter won the GOLD MEDAL with a throw of 20.63 meters. Raven Saunders finished 5th with a throw of 19.35 meters.

In the Women's Heptathlon 4th Event: The women competed in a 200 meter dash for the fourth event. Kendell Williams finished 6th in 24.09 seconds. Barbara Nwaba finished 19th in 24.77 seconds. Heather Miller-Koch finished 21st with a time of 24.97 seconds. After 4 events, Barbara Nwaba is in 11th with 3777 points. Kendell Williams is in 14th with 3715 points. Heather Miller-Koch is in 19th with 3630 points.

In the Women's 100 Meter Dash Heats: English Gardner qualified for the Semifinal with a time of 11.09 seconds and the 5th seed. Tori Bowie qualified for the Semifinal with a time of 11.13 seconds and the 6th seed. Tianna Bartoletta qualified for the Semifinal with a time of 11.23 seconds and the 12th seed.

Women's Triple Jump Qualification - 7:40 AM
Andrea Geubelle (Group 1), Christina Epps (Group 2), and Keturah Orji (Group 2) will compete. To qualify for the Finals, they must either jump 14.30 meters or at least be in the top 12.

Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase Heats - 8:05 AM
Colleen Quigley (Heat 1), Emma Coburn (Heat 2), and Courtney Frerichs (Heat 3) will compete. To qualify for the Finals, they must either finish top 3 in their heat or one of the next 6 fastest times.

Men's Discus Throw Final - 8:50 AM
Mason Finley will compete. He will throw as far as possible against his competitors to try for a medal.

Women's 400 Meter Dash Heats - 9:00 AM
Allyson Felix (Heat 2), Phyllis Francis (Heat 3), and Natasha Hastings (Heat 4) will compete. To qualify for the final, they must be top 2 in their heat or one of the next 8 fastest times.

Women's Heptathlon 5th Event: Long Jump - 9:45 AM
Heather Miller-Koch (Group 1), Kendell Williams (Group 1), and Barbara Nwaba (Heat 3) will compete. They will look to jump as far as possible to add to their Heptathlon Points.

Men's 100 Meter Dash Heats - 10:00 AM
Marvin Bracy (Heat 1), Justin Gatlin (Heat 2), and Trayvon Bromell (Heat 5) will compete. They need to be top 2 in their heat or one of the next 8 fastest to qualify for the Semifinals.

SESSION 3 - All updates are American unless otherwise specified.

In the Qualification of Women's Triple Jump, Keturah Orji qualified for the Final with the 12th best jump of 14.08 meters. Christina Epps did not qualify for the Final with the 15th best jump of 14.01 meters. Andrea Geubelle did not qualify for the Final with the 21st best jump of 13.93 meters.

In Round 1 of the Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase, Emma Coburn qualified for the Final as the 3rd seed with a time of 9:18.12. Courtney Frerichs qualified for the Final as a 12th seed with a time of 9:27.02. Colleen Quigley qualified for the Final as a 13th seed with a time of 9:21.82.

In the Finals of the Men's Discus Throw, Mason Finley finished 11th with a throw of 62.05 meters.

In the Heats of the Women's 400 Meter Dash, Phyllis Francis qualified for the Semifinal as a 1 seed with a time of 50.58 seconds. Allyson Felix qualified for the Semifinal as a 6 seed with a time of 51.24 seconds. Natasha Hastings qualified for the Semifinal as a 9 seed with a time of 51.31 seconds.

In the 5th Event, Long Jump, of the Women's Heptathlon, Kendell Williams had the 8th best jump with a jump of 6.31 meters. Heather Miller-Koch had the 16th best jump with a jump of 6.16 meters. Barbara Nwaba had the 27th best jump with a jump of 5.81 meters. After 5 events, Kendell Williams is in 13th place with 4661 points. Barbara Nwaba is in 16th place with 4569 points. Heather Miller-Koch is in 19th place with 4529 points.

In Round 1 of the Men's 100 Meter Dash, Justin Gatlin qualified for the Semifinals with a time of 10.01 seconds as a 1 seed. Trayvon Bromell qualified for the Semifinals with a time of 10.13 seconds as a 12th seed. Marvin Bracy qualified for the Semifinals with a time of 10.16 seconds as a 15th seed.

Women's Heptathlon Event 7 - Javelin Throw Group 1 - 6:00 PM
Kendell Williams and Heather Miller-Koch will compete. The will try to throw the javelin as far as possible to add to their Heptathlon Points.

Men's Pole Vault Qualification - 6:20 PM
Sam Kendricks (Group 1), Cale Simmons (Group 2), and Logan Cunningham (Group 2) will compete. To qualify for the Finals, they must either vault 5.75 meters or be in the top 12.

Men's 400 Meter Dash Semifinals - 6:30 PM
LaShawn Merritt (Heat 1), David Verburg (Heat 2), and Gil Roberts (Heat 3) will compete. To qualify for the Finals, they must either be top 2 in their heat or one of the next 2 fastest times.

Men's Long Jump Final - 6:53 PM
Jeff Henderson and Jarrion Lawson will compete. They will jump as far as possible to try and medal!

Women's 100 Meter Dash Semifinals - 7:00 PM

Boris Berian (Heat 2) and Clayton Murphy (Heat 3) will compete. To qualify for the Finals they must finish top 2 in their heat or be one of the next two fastest times.

Women's 100 Meter Run Finals - 8:37 PM
Tori Bowie and English Gardner are going to run as fast as possible for a medal.

Women's Hepathlon Final Event - 800 Meter Run - 8:50 PM
Heather Miller-Koch (Heat 1), Barbara Nwaba (Heat 2), and Kendell Williams (Heat 2) will compete. They will run this final event of the Heptathlon to cement their Heptathlon Points.

Not an official update, but somewhat bad news: Jarrion Lawson got pushed out of medal positions on last jumps and on his last jump he had the gold medal if he didn't put his hand in the sand.

In the 6th Event, Javelin Throw, of the Women's Heptathlon, Barbara Nwaba had the 14th best throw of 46.85 meters. Kendell Williams had the 21st best throw of 40.93 meters. Heather Miller-Koch had the 22nd best throw of 40.25 meters. After 6 Events, Barbara Nwaba had the 14th best score of 5368 points. Kendell Williams had the 16th best score of 5346 points. Heather Miller-Koch had the 22nd best score of 5201 points.

In the Qualifications of Men's Pole Vault, Sam Kendricks vaulted 5.70 meters to finish 1st and qualify for the Finals. Logan Cunningham vaulted 5.30 meters to finish 28th and not qualify for the Finals. Cale Simmons vaulted 5.30 meters to finish 28th and not qualify for the Finals.

In the Semifinals of the Men's 400 Meter Dash, LaShawn Merritt finished with the 2nd seed and a time of 44.21 seconds to qualify for the Finals. Gil Roberts finished 9th and a time of 44.65 seconds to not qualify for the Finals. David Verburg finished 20th and a time of 45.61 seconds to not qualify for the Finals.

In the Finals of the Men's Long Jump, Jeff Henderson won the GOLD MEDAL with a jump of 8.38 meters. Jarrion Lawson finished 4th with a jump of 8.25 meters.

In the Semifinals of the Women's 100 Meter Dash, Tori Bowie finished with a 3rd seed and a time of 10.90 seconds to qualify for the Finals. English Gardner finished with a 3rd seed and a time of 10.90 seconds to qualify for the Finals. Tianna Bartoletta finished 9th with a time of 11.00 seconds to not qualify for the Finals.

In the Finals of the Men's 10000 Meter Run, Galen Rupp finished 5th with a time of 27:08.92. Leonard Essau Korir finished 14th with a time of 27:35.65. Shadrack Kipchirchir finished 19th with a time of 27:58.32.

In the Semifinals of the Men's 800 Meter Run, Clayton Murphy finished 4th with a time of 1:44.30 to qualify for the Finals. Boris Berian finished 6th with a time of 1:44.56 to qualify for the Finals.

In the Finals of the Women's 100 Meter Run, Tori Bowie won the SILVER MEDAL with a time of 10.83 seconds. English Gardner finished 7th with a time of 10.94 seconds.

In the Final Event, 800 Meter Run, of the Women's Heptathlon, Heather Miller-Koch ran 2:06.82 to finish 1st. Barbara Nwaba ran 2:11.61 to finish 7th. Kendell Williams ran 2:16.24 to finish 17th. In the final Heptathlon Point Standings, Barbara Nwaba finished 12th with a score of 6309 points. Kendell Williams finished 17th with a score of 6221 points. Heather Miller-Koch finished 18th with a score of 6213 points.

Women's Marathon Finals - 9:30 AM
Shalane Flanagan, Amy Cragg, and Desiree Linden will compete. They are going to run 26.2 miles and run for a medal!

In the Finals of the Women's Marathon, Shalane Flanagan finished 6th with a time of 2:25:26. Desiree Linden finished 7th with a time of 2:26:08. Amy Cragg finished 9th with a time of 2:28:25. Great showing by the USA Women Marathon runners.
