Looks pretty solid. Bauxite will be hard to beat.
Nashville may be decent. They beat Sheridan (pitching someone that normally does not pitch & missing 2 starters due to state basketball final). But they did beat them so that has to count for something..
I think Booneville is knocking on the door. They have won 5 straight including a win at Scranton.
Their first game after spring break is home against Dardanelle, presenting a chance for the LadyCats to really prove themselves.
Nashville and Bauxite that's all you need to know. Bauxite learned its lesson last year. Plus these two teams play tough schedules to prepare for their state run.
Pottsville is going to be tough brought back nearly all the players from last years team and got a another pitcher and some good players from the JR team.
Hope so, like to watch the Pottsville coach get on his team. Us old guys were coached that way. But they need to show me they can win when it counts. Good luck to them this year.
Pocahontas returns almost every starter from it State Runner Up team last year. They will be solid and will be able to make another solid run for the title.

Pea Ridge can hit the ball (can't overstate how good they are at this) and they play decent defense. They will win lots of games by doing that. Their pitching is good, not great. This is what might hurt them as they go deeper into the playoffs. JMO

Tatum gave up two hits the whole tournament (no-hitter against Paris) and struck out 32 (12, 10, 10). Not as strong a tournament as some of the rest, but three wins are three wins, and that's 10 in a row for the LadyCats. They start four freshmen most of the time.

Yes, no make up date that I know of
No Monticello? Y'all better watch out for the Lady Billies. Best hitting team I've seen all year. 18-3 on the season.
Monticello will be lucky to get out of the first round of regionals. Remember how regionals went for the 8-4A last year?
Yep, Monticello may not even make it to Regionals....... :)
Depends if they are seeing good pitching/fielding.

I've seen crossett and a few more of the 4a teams play down here and I would agree with eaglemaniac. Monticello will go a little further than crossett this year.

Monticello will bounce back and clinch #1 seed going into district tourney and a guaranteed spot for Regionals with a win against Hamburg on Thursday due to score more runs on Crossett the first game.

Well the scoreboard had 10-0 when we left. I checked MaxPreps just now and it had 9-0. Not sure if the person running the scoreboard added an extra run or the person keeping the book on game changer missed something.
No maniac I meant when you said crossett was not going as far as Monticello.

Gotcha!! Don't know what gotten into these girls. Totally different team since that loss. They've out scored opponents 77-6 since that loss. The bats have come alive and Rice's pitching has been spot on.
What do y'all have coming up over there in the 7-8 grades EM? I know y'all have been good the last few years.
Gonna be way down from what I've seen. We will return 3 starters next year and only have a couple moving up that may be of any help. Pitching is going to be an issue. The summer league here is horrible. No development at all.
Well get out here and coach em up EM. Pitching is key but honestly you can get a girl throwing strikes in a year. Making her good takes a while.
Crossett closes the regular season with a 16-1 win over Warren. Lady Eagles finish 19-8.
So how do you figure conference standings over there? Do you count the games with the 3a teams or just against the 4a? Every conference does it differently now with this blended mess.

Not exactly sure. I was told last night the southern half of the conference will seed like this 1.Monticello 2.Crossett 3.Hamburg 4.Warren
North
1. Star City 2. Dewitt 3. Dumas 4. Dollarway
Unless my info is wrong. Hamburg will play Dway and Warren will play Dumas on Tuesday. The Hamburg/Dway winner gets Dewitt Wednesday and Warren/Dumas winner gets Crossett.

Booneville has been up and down the last couple of weeks, but maybe their 14-0 win at Waldron on Thursday snapped them out of their funk. Three different players had four or more RBIs, with Tatum providing a three-run homer.
The LadyCats have Two Rivers tomorrow and Ozark Tuesday, both at home, before district. Booneville is currently 13-6, and have surprised a lot of people who wondered what life after Ross and McClung would be like. Tatum has performed very well and is closing in on 200 strikeouts, and we have had some freshmen step in and play a major role.

I think Pottsville has been exposed in the North Tournament. They finished 3rd after squeaking by a very average Lincoln team in the 3rd place game. Pea Ridge needs to be near the top of the rankings at this point in the season. They are beating everybody pretty handily.
Should be a great State tournament. Can't wait to see Bauxite play!

Gravette squeaked by Pottsville and then beat the Pea Ridge Girls, so how could you say Pea Ridge should be ranked any higher than they are? Doesn't look like they were beating up on teams that was that good.
