I sat in a stand this morning in 26 degree weather for four hours...saw one squirrel.

And a bird.

My stand is in a prime location.  Nine times out of ten, I see at least a doe.

They're moving at night by the full(ish) moon.  Not so much during the day.

If you drive slowly, it's no bigger risk. That's the problem with folks in 4x4's. They think they can drive faster because of 4 wheel drive but it's the stopping that gets them. If you think about it all cars have 4x4 brakes.....

Got about a 1/4 inch of snow here...Nothing stuck to the roads, people still hacked and moaned about how dangerous it was for their kids to go to school in it. I think those folks are also the ones that will be griping and moaning about how it's so unfair the schools are still in session come June....

I don't know how Jonesboro - Stuttgart works.  I know from friends that we (River Valley) have birds when y'all don't and vice versa.  I wasn't seeing the Gadwall, which is most of our duck population here.  Assuming they went a little south, but like ricepig say's, they'll be back.  Needs to rain today.

I wear a lid when I'm on one of my sport bikes. But the full face, it just isn't the same when you don't have the wind blowing in your face. Plus, it hinders peripheral vision.

Don't worry about your vision, worry about ruining others. Wear the full face shield and tinted would be prefered

Yes I was too, originally - last year we were slaying the Mallards when y'all were struggling.  Right now we're loaded with Mallards, just need a little shooting to disperse them.  Well I've got decoys strung out - loading SxS - making my list, counting it twice - Woo Hoo it's Opener Eve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes....the sun will come out tomorrow....bet your bottom dollar.....I so hope so!!!!!!!     I am having sun Withdrawls...if that's possible??  Lol!  The wind was horrible last night.    My son wanted to put up the Christmas tree this weekend so we did....getting lights outside will be another story.      I tried to make him wait to put it up so we could actually celebrate Thanksgiving first,  then put up the tree but I lost that argument...he's still little.

I hope everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving and safe travels to all.

Completely agree with you....I understand the stores like Hobby Lobby that work a season ahead, but that doesn't mean you have to put up your Christmas tree before your done with Halloween. I would get tired of it...

You mean you don't like the Black Friday sales, where folks are encourage to run down the older folks that can't move out of the way, that may or may not actually be there for Black Friday Shopping?

I went to one Black Friday sale a few years ago...Wal Mart was scheduled to start cutting the shrink wrap off of their "big" sales at 7:00, I got there at 6:30 and someone was already being wheeled out on a stretcher....Just feel like some folks are missing the point of the holiday when they are willing to trample others....

Some are missing the point...IMO.  Some get to caught up in who has what or I have to have this to keep up with this person etc.   It's sad.  I have never put my tree up this early until now....but it's been kind of a hard year....and my son begged to help decorate it...so, I caved but that is the only thing decorated for Christmas.   I still have out all my Thanksgiving decorations every where else...and my son said....why does everyone go for Black Friday deals and miss visiting with their family....he said....Black Friday isn't the best deal....the best deal is Jesus being born.  I'm glad he gets that part.   I understand however,  if some have to make their money go further to be able to provide Christmas for their children.   But it's almost always cheaper after Christmas now.

Was listening to a radio show the other day that was going through the black Friday sales that had been advertised thus far(Don't remember the stores), but some of the stuff had a lot better sale before black Friday. Or was actually marked up for Black Friday. Because as long as they don't advertise it as being a cheaper price then they can do as they wish....
