I couldn't make the Riverside girls game. Usually some EPC posters over on the 2a forum who post their scores. I don't think we can handle the big Vornes girl but who knows.

Oldref

Bay Girls won tonight over Pocahontas in the finals of the Williams Baptist Tournament. Score was 59-52.  Katie Ferguson had 23 and Whitlee Layne had 22 Mallory Hartley had 6. All three of those girls were named to the all tournament team. Bay girls now 14-2

Bay Boys over Clarksville 75-31 tonight also in Jonesboro at Barry Pruitt classic.

Couple of good wins for Bay tonight.

Wow, Clarksville is what 4A or 5A....sounds like Bay is getting it together....and looks like a Baywatch/Guywatch collision is looming in March......

Congrats !!

I think that come tournament time Bay's schedule will really help them.  They have played some very tough competition from all classifications.  Emerson and Guy have played some good teams, and indeed Guy did beat Bay, but neither Emerson or Guy has played the schedule that Bay has, and will play.  No fault of Emerson or Guy, they play the schedule they are handed, and all you can do is play the best you can no matter who you are scheduled to play.

HorseFeathers

Bay starts them early...had a few elementary kids shooting with them during warm ups just now...

Silky Johnson

Bay NEA tourney results
W 69-33 CRA
W 62-55 Cross County
W 69-43 Izard County
Finals W East Poinsett county 64-40

BoxNOne

Bay will be hard to beat if they play the way they did these last two games. They were clicking on all cylinders and looked very good doing it.

I totally was impressed with Bay !!!
Press break , defense , one and done crain had to have a double double!! finishing at the rim, and shot lights out.
Pushed the ball when they had numbers and slowed it down and ran good plays when they didn't .
Transition defense looked very good vs an very athletic EPC!!

BlackMamba

Bay beat Rector 66-36 in the Kell tonight

Anyone hoping to win State is going to have to eliminate Bay!!

PuddlePirate12

What if GP eliminates them then someone beats GP? Then technically they didn't eliminate them

Thechosen1

Lol it could happen, anything can happen, but I don't see mammoth beating bay at home in regionals

NEA Razorback olfan

Bay prolly won't get challenged until State

Thechosen1

Just looking forward.. Guy will have a tough matchup if they meet Kirby in the quarterfinals. Kirby is usually ready to go around state time and they proved theirselves last year. Not a team to sleep on they're talented.

They are talented but young. If it comes down to a close game they may make some mistakes. 2 years they'll be state champs

Thechosen1

Agreed they are probably a year away or two. But if they make shots and play smart guy could be in trouble.

As tough and evenly matched as Region 4 is, a quarterfinal matchup could also be with a Nevada or Emerson.  Any way you look at it, barring huge upsets in Region 2 or 3, the bottom of the bracket will be very, very tough.

pootnscoot

Bay hangs the first loss on Guy and Emerson unless Mammoth Springs pulls the upset in regionals.

PuddlePirate12

It would take a Rivercrest to beat Bay ;D

Your way wrong sir Bay hopes everything works out and plays GP (40-0)  in Semi and then hopefully a undefeated Emerson team for the rematch. Why not win or go home may the best team win it all.
