LSU's Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF,  their version of the RF) has approved a $100 million renovation of Tiger Stadium to connect the south upper decks.  It will take the capacity to just over 100,000 and add 3500 club seats and 60 corporate suites, it should be complete in time for the Hogs next trip to Baton Rouge.  These club seats and suites were all sold in advance of the approval to support the $100 million bond.  The arms race in the SEC continues and facilities and fan support is what separates the SEC from all of the other conferences.

Peety

That will be the loudest stadium in America then

I understand they've also petitioned the NCAA for the expansion project to include a slight field modification to be used when the Alabama defense comes to Baton Rouge:

They might want to consider adding a few extra sets of goalposts on both ends to help level the playing field for 'Bama considering the Tide kicking game is sometimes less than stellar.  ::)

Isn't that the way most of Southern Louisiana smells?

+1000 that is funny!

Don't be jealous, the Hogs still have WMS and an almost sold out RRS to call home.

Did an Arkansas fan really mention something about a team losing to Alabama? I guess they would know better than anyone.  And by the way, that short field in the drawing may have kept the Hogs within 3 TD's if that vaunted ex-coaches offense could've had it when they came to Baton Rouge this season with that TOP 3 BCS caliber team.

zebradynasty

Dude...it's more pathetic for you to attempt spin that absolute horrible LSU performance in the BCS game than it is for Arkansas to consider themselves a BCS title game contender. No problem giving credit to LSU for making the BCS game but the shut out and 90 yards total offense.... :-[ :-[ :-[

I don't know ZD. The Hogs were up 14 -0 and the wheels came off in Baton Rouge.

I'm attempting to spin nothing, the embarrassing performance by LSU can't be defended.  They laid an egg.  They finally know what it feels like to be Arkansas when the chips are down and they are in a big game.  What LSU did once the Hogs have done for the better part of its football history and all parts of its SEC history.

Fact:  Loseianna is the most populated state in the US that has only one BCS school.

Question:  Why then were they so pathetic in the 90's?  2-9? 3-8? 4-7?.....I can't remember Arkansas EVER having a run like that....and I'm old.

Breitontime

You also can't remember Arky ever winning a SEC title, or BCS title.

Would you trade being on the bottom for a decade, for being on the top all of the next, or just prefer to be average forever?

We all know that CFB isn't what it is up there as it is down here.

Funny my son was at the LSU football camp this past weekend/week. I didn't smell anything when we dropped him off or when we picked him up.

As for closing in the South endzone, that would be cool!! Add even more noise to an already CRAZY loud place!! They are also doing some renovations to the West side of the stadium as well.
