Yes to some degree. The East is just going to be very tough the next few years.

Dang, I guess that means the West won't have two teams in the final four next year and probably not win state again either....     ???

Wow what a great post.  Greenbrier would finish 7th or 8th in the east next year.

A lot of people will look at this Blytheville job.  What are the chances that Frankie comes back to the area and does some damage?

Blytheville is officially open. Hixson has resigned and will stay on just to  teach and be asst. AD. This would be a great job for the right person.
WOW! I hate to hear that. David Hixson is one of the classiest coaches around. Any word on whether Tyer would want the job?

Bill still teaches physical education at ANC. He has taught there for almost 30 years. He doesn't want to work full time at a high school and hasn't since the mid-seventies.  He also is up in years. The Jr. high coach will have a chance at it but I don't think he wants it because he wants to be in administration.

So who are the likely candidates?

I still think Glintborg is the top candidate.  (jr. high coach).  Other than that, I haven't heard anything yet.

I think they need Ebbs back.  He would crack some heads.

LOL, ole Danny. I promise if you took a vote of everyone in town it would be 90-10 to have him back. Ebbs was a great coach and was respected by his players. They knew that he wouldn't take any crap at all. He was a piece of work though but everyone is in there own way.

He still is a piece of work! He is now the principal at Sylvan Hills and probably has enough time in to be able to retire. Not as much as Tyer, but close.

Missco

I agree he is one of a kind. . I figure Ebbs has been in education for well over 35 years. He probably will be the principal for a while. I would hate to have his alimony bill.

HOGDOG

I hear Ebbs will be the new principal at Marion next year.

He won't have any money left for alimony if he goes there.  The casinos will have it all.

The Benton County Daily Record is reporting today that David McClure, head boys basketball coach at Gravette (his alma mater) for the past three season, has resigned to take the junior boys basketball coaching job at Fayetteville Ramay Junior High.
