Monta Thomas dunked 4 or 5 times including an alley oop for the first basket of the game.

So far, Hermitage girls over Smackover
Hermitage boys over Lake Village
And Junction City girls leading Lake Village girls 44-34 at the end of the 3rd quarter
JC girls over Lake Village
Smackover boys over Crossett
Fordyce boys leading Warren boys 35-30 at the half
Warren comes back to win by about 15.
Thats all for thursday

Thought Smackover looked real good for their first game out. Athletes everywhere. Played real loose. Going to be fun to watch this year. 10:37 pm is awfully late to start second half for me.

I concur. Especially for a school night and with semester tests tomorrow for many of the kids.

Stunna Warren is athletic and fun to watch. No sight of an outside shooter. PG penetrates nicely has good basketball instincts. Post has a couple of wide bodies and height. Definitely need stronger guard play. Will turn the ball over if pressed. Overall for their first game they played well. Shooting touch should come with more time on the hardwood.

Dragon I'm sure Dragons are going to be just fine. I don't know if they played Bearden this week. I haven't heard anything. I don't coach there anymore.

Proud Buckaroo

Smackover plays Strong today at 4pm.

southarkhog

Strong boys beat Hermitage last night 83-80 in over time. Strong player banked a 3 in at the buzzer to win. It was a great game to watch.

southarkhog

Star City beat Hermitage 55-50 in the first game. Junction City and Warren boys are playing now with JC leading.

Romeo

Final score in Warren Junction City game?

Proud Buckaroo

I heard it was a dunking contest.

Proud Buckaroo

Smackover beat Strong. 64-42. Smackover will play Junction Monday.

WPWells

Smackover gonna be good this year, PB?

Proud Buckaroo

Yes, they will. Elmo had 31 points against Crossett.

Proud Buckaroo

I'm trying to get it right now, Dragon.

WPWells

Wow! I'm impressed with the Buckaroos already. If they beat JC on Monday then they'll probably break into the top 5 of the 3A

Proud Buckaroo

They are playing really well for only having a week of practice. Most of the starters on the football team are starters on the basketball team.

Maybe he'll get the all-state nod he deserves in basketball

Proud Buckaroo

Yeah, I hope that he does!! He really deserved it. The Coach nominated him.... But instead of him getting it... The RB from Fouke got it.

Proud Buckaroo

Yeah! I would like to know the score of the game.

thabeast428

Jc over smackover 75-37 only score I know

Proud Buckaroo

I was afraid the size advantage that Junction had would affect Smackover... We just had no match for Bell... If we double teamed him... We would get hurt by the Ty kid.

thabeast428

Jc is just super quick and yea bell had a good game. Smackover shot way too many 3s imo

Proud Buckaroo

Jordan is pretty good at making his threes. They probably should have tried to get Elmo in the post, and get twos....

How many times did Bell dunk? ._.

THA TRUTH

About 4 times then 3 other players dunked too
