100 meter dash

1. Providence George – Arkansas (11.03) (11.16) (11.11) (11.19) (10.90) (10.88)
6A South champ. Has ran sub 11 twice. Has ran in the low 11s all year. Is the one to beat for sure

2. Victor Black – Marion (11.05) (11.16) (11.10)
6A East-Central champ. Hasn't ran a lot, but when he has, he impresses. With the Texarkana kids beside him, I think he runs sub 11 if conditions are right.

3. Andrew Bishop – Arkansas (11.23) (11.16) (11.28) (11.29) (11.02)
South 3rd place finisher. Has ran sub 11.30 every time out. Is close to the sub 11 mark.

4. Josh Nazzario – Lake Hamilton (11.40) (11.19) (12.25) (11.42) (10.97)
South runner up. Although he beat Bishop at conference, he has been somewhat erratic with his times. Bishop has been much more consistent. Nazzaro could easily finish higher, though.

5. Albert Thurman – El Dorado (11.23) (11.26) (11.28) (11.34) (11.21) (11.09)
South 4th place finisher. A very consistent runner all year. Thurman has ran sub 11.30 5 times and sub 11.10 once.

6. Jacobi Davis – LR Parkview (11.55) (12.52) (11.52) (11.85) (11.41) (11.27)
East-Central runner up. After Thurman, there seems to be a drop off. Davis has been improving all year in all his events, though.

7. Eric Nathaniel – LR Parkview (11.59) (11.27) (11.29)
East-Central 3rd place finisher. All the talent in the world but is coming back from injury. If he's healthy and in shape, he could finish much higher than this. As for now, I'm not even sure he'll run this event at state, so I'll keep him here.

8. Matt Sisco – Greenwood (11.29) (11.38) (11.44) (11.25) (11.42) (11.53) (11.21) (11.31)
East-Central 4th place finisher. Talk about a model of consistency. Sisco hasn't had a break through race yet, but you can count on him to run around 11.30 each time, which should be good enough to make the final.

Projected Score after 1/17 events projected
Arkansas - 16
Marion - 8
Lake Hamilton - 5

Discus Throw

1. Trey Martin – Lake Hamilton (150' 6") (154' 9") (142' 6") (148' 10") (145' 2") (155' 9")
South champion. Has thrown over 140 six times. Has thrown over 150 three times.

2. Shabreon Epps – Arkansas (139' 4") (138' 2") (145' 6") (141' 9") (146' 6")
South runner up. Has thrown over 140 three times. Has thrown over 130 five times.

3. Jamison Murry – Pine Bluff (128' 7") (151' 3") (133' 6") (106' 9") (133' 11")
South 3rd place finisher. Has thrown over 130 three times. Has thrown over 150 once.

4. Robert Sallie – Marion (128' 0") (130' 10") (135' 0")
East-Central champion. Has thrown over 130 twice.

5. Tim Cannon – Pine Bluff (135' 8") (135' 4") (102' 11")
Finished 14th at conference. He threw badly. He has thrown over 130 twice, both of them better than Sallie's efforts, but that 102 throw worries me.

6. Brandon Ruiz – Russellville (129' 9") (133' 10") (126' 11") (131' 6") (127' 1")
East-Central runner up. Has thrown over 120 five times. Has thrown over 130 twice

7. Charlie Donerson – Pine Bluff (122' 11") (130' 9") (132' 5")
South 4th place finisher. Has thrown over 120 three times. Has thrown over 130 twice.

200 meter dash

1. Providence George – Arkansas (22.74) (22.62) (21.98) (22.89) (21.99) (22.71)
South champ. Has ran sub 22 twice.

2. Victor Black – Marion (22.40) (22.45) (22.55) (22.34)
East-Central champ. Has ran sub 22.5 three times. I don't think he can beat George, but he may make it interesting

3. Josh Nazzario – Lake Hamilton (22.39) (23.09) (22.82) (22.83) (22.47)
South runner up. Has ran sub 22.5 twice. Could easily give Black a run for his money. Especially since this race will have a lot riding on it.

4. Albert Thurman – El Dorado (23.30) (23.20) (23.18) (22.94) (22.97) (22.37) (22.51)
South 3rd place finisher. Has ran sub 22.5 once and sub 23 four times.

5. Karonce Higgins – Searcy (23.42) (23.11) (23.08) (23.16) (22.23) (24.29) (23.11) (22.79)
East-Central runner up. Has a really weird outlier at 22.23, not sure what he ate that day, but he needs to eat it again.

6. Trey Chambers – Marion (23.07) (22.45) (22.69) (23.15)
East-Central 3rd place finisher. Has ran sub 22.5 once and sub 23 twice.

7. Andrew Bishop – Arkansas (23.08) (23.20) (22.72) (22.71)
South 4th place finisher. Has ran sub 23 twice. Him and Chambers are very close in terms of performance.

8. Matt Sisco – Greenwood (23.56) (23.52) (23.05) (23.69) (23.02) (23.40)
East-Central 4th place finisher. Foote from Benton has a much faster PR, but Sisco has been much more consistent.

South 3rd place finisher. Has thrown over 50 feet three times.

Great work. Have you seen Nazzario run this year? Doesn't come out if the blocks.

I have not, unfortunately. He's still putting up great times, though. They'll need him to do well.

800 meter run

1. Grant Williams – Lake Hamilton (1:57.26) (1:59.10)
South champ. Will have to run a lot of events that day, but he has done it before and I think he'll handle it well. Has run sub 2:00 twice.

2. Darrius Hill – Marion (2:06.15) (2:04.66) (2:02.65) (2:01.15)
East-Central champ. Has improved every time out. Seems to be peaking at the right time.

3. Taylor Werst – Lake Hamilton (2:07.60) (2:05.88) (2:02.98) (2:02.51) (2:05.56) (2:02.75)
South runner up. He'll know how important this race is for his team and it's his only race (other than the 4 x 8). Has ran sub 2:03 three times.

4. Joey Shirley – Russellville (2:06.20) (2:03.75) (2:05.68) (2:02.28)
East-Central runner up. Has the potential to finish higher, but hasn't been running as well as he did last year. Sub 2:03 once.

5. Elijah Knight – Russellville (2:02.65) (2:03.79)
Did not run at conference. I'm actually pretty sure he won't run this at state since he's qualified in the 3200 and 1600, but I am assuming everyone who qualifies runs unless they haven't ran in a long time. Sub 2:03 guy once.

6. Ben Ritcheson – Mountain Home (2:13.09) (2:10.21) (2:07.34) (2:02.59)
East-Central 3rd place finisher. Has improved every time out and got a huge PR at conference. Seems to be peaking at the right time.

7. Bror Thiriron – Lake Hamilton (2:07.79) (2:06.12) (2:05.23) (2:05.38)
South 3rd place finisher. Another Lake Hamilton athlete who knows this race will have a lot riding on it. Sub 2:06 twice.

8. Ian Carter – Greenwood (2:11.61) (2:05.55) (2:04.61) (2:06.30)
East-Central 4th place finisher. Has the potential to finish higher, but will be running the 1600 too at state, probably. Sub 2:06 twice.

3200 meter run

1. Grant Williams – Lake Hamilton (10:03.78) (10:02.97) (9:50.07) (9:55.55)
Did not run at conference. We'll see how he handles the 1600/800/3200 combo. He'll have to do it for Lake Hamilton to win.

2. Josh Kruse – Mountain Home (10:22.67) (10:01.95)
Did not run at conference either. Not really sure why. He's ran sub 10:30 both times, though and almost a sub 10 his last time out.

3. Hunter Usdrowski – Lake Hamilton (10:02.21)
South champ. This freshmen may be the X-Factor for LH. If he runs like he did at conference, he puts his team in a great position.

4. Elijah Knight – Russellville (10:17.13) (10:18.77)
East-Central champ. Not sure what events he'll run. He's qualified for the 1600/800/3200. Not sure how he'll handle all that if he does end up running them. He's run sub 10:20 both times out, though.

5. Daley Byrd – Mountain Home (10:47.74) (10:44.24) (10:23.68)
East-Central runner up. Has improved throughout the year and had a huge PR at conference. Seems to be peaking at the right time. He's qualified for the 1600 too.

6. Mason Rhodes – Russellville (10:25.85) (10:25.41)
East-Central 3rd place finisher. Has ran sub 10:30 both times out. Him and Byrd are very close, hard to separate them.

7. Morgan Reese – Benton (10:32.00) (10:25.43) (10:33.75)
South runner up. I believe this is his only race. He could finish higher if everyone I have in front of him is tired. Has ran around 10:30 three times.

8. Lane Alexander – Mountain Home (11:08.74) (11:09.20) (10:43.51) (10:25.88)
East-Central 4th place finisher. Alexander has made huge improvements throughout the year. Peaking at the right time.

I will assume Jalen Curtis of Russellville will not be high jumping. He has only high jumped once and that was over a month ago. If someone knows if he ends up jumping at state, then let me know and I'll change this list.

High Jump

1. Damian Blossom – Siloam Springs (6' 8") (6' 8") (6' 4") (6' 4") (6' 7.25")
South champ. Has jumped 6' 7" three times. Huge favorite.

2. Malcolm Elliot – Arkansas (5' 8") (6' 2") (6' 2") (6' 0") (6' 0") (6' 1") (6' 4")
South runner up. Has jumped 6' 4" once, which is the 2nd best jump in 6A, and has consistently been over 6 feet.

3. Everett Thomas – Marion (6' 1") (6' 1")
East-Central champ. Hasn't jumped much, but 6' 1" twice is pretty good.

4. Quayvon Peoples – Arkansas (5' 10") (5' 10") (6' 0") (6' 0")
South 3rd place finisher. Has jumped 6' 0" the last two times out.

5. Jarvis Thomas – Marion (5' 10") (6' 0")
East-Central third place finisher. Like his teammate Thomas, hasn't jumped much, but 6A high jump is wide open this year.

6. Darius Bowman – Searcy (5' 9") (5' 7") (6' 0")
East-Central 4th place finisher. Jumped 6' 0" at conference. That should be good enough to place this high.

7. Kedren Brunson – Jonesboro (6' 0")
East-Central runner up as a freshmen. Obviously, he could finish much higher than this, but I just don't like putting freshmen too high at state in an event like this.

8. Ladonta Cursh – Arkansas (5' 10") (5' 6") (5' 10") (5' 10")
South 4th place finisher. Has jumped 5' 10" three times, which seems to be about as consistent as anyone else.

East-Central champ. Seems to be a low 16 guy now.

I've seen Nazzaro run without using blocks before. I don't know why. He is genetically gifted to be so fast because his technique is awful.

Thank you.

But no, I'm not going to do a girls projection list. Sorry, but too much work for these and the meet is scheduled for tomorrow.
