Title: Micah Rine Pate
Post by: WCD on May 02, 2009, 10:44:49 am
Please pray for the Rine family. Dennis Rine is the Harding Academy baseball coach and academic counselor. He learned last night that his daughter Micah was murdered by her husband. Micah was a wonderful young woman with a lot to offer the world. She was a nurse and was going on to become an Advance Practice Nurse. Tragedy has struck again and the HA community is grieving along with Dennis and Terri Rine. Please ask your friends, family and church community to pray for her. This will take a long time to heal.

I watched that for over an hour last night on TV.  Very sad.  She had been reported missing the day before, and about 8:30 last night her husband led authorites to her body in a small river area.

so tragic.  Prayers from WM/Marn

Oh my goodness this is horrible. Mrs. Rine was my family relations teacher at UCA and she was such a wonderful person. This is truly horrible and I don't know what would possess someone to such a horrible thing.

I heard about this at church on Sunday, but had no idea it was her husband who did it.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.  WCD, do you know what the motive may have been?

I wish I did but I must say "No, I don't!" I have heard many things in the past days but they are 2nd and 3rd hand. I understand that he had anger issues but not sure what that meant.

As a follow up............ the Rine family and the entire Harding family has begun to heal. The funeral was uplifting and it was all about Micah and what a joy she was as a child, student, church camp camper, sister, friend, athlete. You name it and she was well respected.

Her parents did a great job in raising her and it was evident from personal testimonies that she was loved by many. Someone said there were about 2000 people in the HA gym. That my friend is a testimony to a wonderful young woman. Please continue to pray for the Rine family.
