Why would you schedule play off semi finals at 1 and 3 pm on a school day?
After 2 or 3 days of play, to have to come back earlier and play isn't going to help the performance. It certainly won't help the crowds or the concessions for the hosts. That's (more) nonsense from AAA.
I would assume it is so schools that win can get home today at a decent hour and make plans to leave for Hot Springs tomorrow.
It is ridiculousness and has been for years. And basketball is the same way.
It should be something like 5 and 7, even 6 and 8. You can showcase some great athletes and do it after everyone has gotten off work/school. They are missing a great opportunity.
I would agree with later games. We live in Vilonia. My daughter wanted to watch the 7A semi finals in Conway, but with a 1:00 and 3:00 game that is a no go.
And let's continue to pile on - as of 16:15 this date, AAA has yet to completely update the results from yesterday.
I had sent them updates on every 5A tourney score immediately when it was completed. Still have seen nothing posted since day 1.
