First and foremost, this poll is merely one person's opinion to generate casual conversation on a forum. I watch a whole lot of softball during the spring. However, I do not see all of these teams play. I go by what I see, scores posted here on FF, MaxxPreps, and local and statewide newspapers. I do not and will not remove a team from the polls at the request of another poster or coach. Again these are just my opinion. Have a blessed day and enjoy!

This looks pretty fair, though I would have Paris a notch or two higher. That bunch has won 10 in a row and has looked really good.
Got to see RB play at Clarksville tournament. Very impressive in dominating a good Ozark team.
Very curious how Harmony Grove will play against Fountain Lake and Glen Rose.
Both teams have very good pitchers, but Harmony Grove should out score Glen Rose. I have no idea about Fountain Lake, I don't know know anything about them. There are some great matchups next week, but it doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate.
There it is. I have been waiting on this a while. Looks pretty good.

Possibly, but that Taylor and Bauxite loss hurt them.
You mean losing to the 1a defending state champs and a good 4a team? Maybe, but in the long run it will help.

So you would move Smackover above a team that beat that 1A state champion while you lost to that team?
Horatio lost to Taylor, Taylor lost to Genoa, Genoa lost to Horatio. So the transient property doesn't really work here.
Bald Knob defeated Tuckerman 11-0 and 12-0 in a conference double header. Curd and Varnell each pitched a game a piece both allowing only 1 hit per game.

I'm sure Smackover will likely pitch one or both of their Freshman pitchers in this game. Wouldn't be very smart to show them your ace two weeks away from a potential regional match-up. I'm sure Horatio will do the same if they have the ability to. I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into the outcome of this game. Should still be a good game though, Smackover has been hitting the ball real well lately.

I like news. Put in me in the loop. What district are we talking about?
Was told Fouke had an illegal player and was moved to the 7th seed.
I need a confirmation on this. In other news. Horatio pitches Beasley tonight and Smackover pitched a pretty good freshman named Robinson. Smackover won 8-3.
Working on confirmation..a very nearby 3A school reported them....

I'm kinda surprised that Horatio pitched Beasley. They must not have much else pitching wise. Just guessing.
Kariss Robinson is pretty good. She is only a Freshman and is at least 5'10". Throws in the low to mid 50's. Will only get better at this level IMO. Just hope this win doesn't cause the girls to overlook anyone at the district/regional level.
A lot of them played last year and the year before and hopefully know that going into state you want a good seed to have the best chance. Pretty sure they will keep up the good work. The Robinson girl does look really tall up on the pitching rubber.
Rabid I asked a few people and they confirmed it. Pretty crazy. How does that do with the regional seeding for that side? I have only just glanced over records and stuff.
District will go something like this:
Horatio
Genoa
Cossatott
Prescott
Gurdon
Centerpoint
Fouke
I THINK. dont hold me to it. I'll ask my sister in tomorrow. Her daughter plays for the lady wolves.
So fouke could still play themselves into regional tournament or no?

Fouke could make Regionals, but they would have to win their first round in Districts. Looks like it would most likely be against Genoa.
Horatio should get a bye first round. Unless the violation merits elimination from post season play.
They are not eliminated. They simply lost all conference games and will be the 7th seed. To add to the story, Genoa is supposedly the team that reported them. So that'll make that game even more interesting. According to a Prescott coach, Fouke baseball reported Genoa Central baseball for the same issue. Not sure if they're "guilty" or not. But if they are and the same punishment is applied, they would also play each other in the 1st round of district and the winner playing horatio to advance to the district championship.

My knowledge: Both schools have reported each other and both are being punished on the softball side and the GC boys are being punished also. Now the Fouke and GC boys and girls play each other Wednesday in Prescott. That's the extent of the situation without the additional drama that I am aware of.
What did GC do? I heard about fouke. The district tournament is in Prescott?
Smackover defeated JC Friday to remain undefeated in conference play. Freshman K. Robinson pitched a complete game to earn the win. Regular season District Championship had already been clinched prior to this game.
Good job lady bucks. Keep it going
Illegal Player/s on all teams punished. The district tourney is in Prescott.
Dang. Did they know they had illegal players or was it just an Oversite? If they did it on purpose that is really teaching a great lesson to young people to win at all cost.
It probably depends on who you ask. Some would know, some wouldn't on both sides to be as honest as possible.
Yeah I'm sure people from the opposite school would say it was cheating, and same team say they didn't know.
Go!
Getting warmer there 3 dollar.

I don't like it one bit. Smackover did not move. I still think it is pretty close to spot on. Until someone beats those top 3 they should stay there. State is almost here and ready to get to see some good Softball since it is close for me. That regional Tournament might be a little out of my driving range. Hopefully JC, Mcgehee, and Smackover have decent showings.
I have seen most of the top 3A teams play this year and I will say there is a big drop between the top 3 teams and everyone else. The 3A Championship game will come from region 2 for the 6th straight year. There will be at least 3 of the final 4 teams, if not all four final 4 teams.
For some one to beat these 3 teams out not only do you have to have great pitching & defense, but you are going to have to score a lot of runs. Don't see that happening this year.

Smackover has the squad to get in the final 4. Only question is, can they rise to the level of competition. Most of these girls play travel ball together and have done what it takes to compete at this level. So I know they are capable. I guess the only obstacle I see is, can they relax and play ball without worrying about the name on the opponents jersey.
I can agree with that horse shoe. If that I in team doesn't come into play and they play for one another instead of themselves they can definitely have a shot. It has been a joy watching them this year. Any word on the tournament over ther in Horatio?

Horatio hit the ball very good, and our bats went cold after the third inning. We had some solid hits but they were right at someone. Can't take anything from Beasley though, she pitched a good game. She's also a tough out at the plate.

Leanna Beasley is related to Kimmy Beasley. Former Star Razorback and SAU Mulerider pitcher. Took the Lady Muleriders to the College World Series. I wonder how Leanna compares?
Beasley is a great player. Not sure how she compares because I did not see her sister play. I have heard that she is not as good .

Absolutely would want Beasley. She is a great player. If her sister was better than her I would like to have her too.
Well glen rose jumped out early but the lady bucks threatened late. Good year for the Lady Bucks better luck next year.
Region 2 with a complete sweep today. Look for it to happen tomorrow as well.
Very close to it being an all-Region 2 vs. Region 1 quarterfinals. Rivercrest just squeaked past Elkins to get a Region 3 team in.
Who can stop Rosebud?
Bald Knob on Saturday
Hahahaha
I got to watch almost every team play at the tournament and here is my conclusion.
harmony grove looks like they could have a shot at the rose bud, i was thinking the winner of the RB/BK was going to win it hands down. After watching HG play they might have a shot to win it.
Why have I not heard about Clinton's pitcher? She looked like a good secret to have. Not sure of her class but she looked pretty good.
If Smackover s region would have matched up with any other region they probably would have not gone home in round one.
Bald knob is still good and would have given RB a run if they didn't waste a bases loaded no out opportunity in the first inning.
Look forward to the championship and next season
Didn't see Clinton there?
Sorry. Meant Charleston.
