P-w is beating carlisle boys by 25 in 4th qt.

That's correct..and I have to say that I was entertained by some of Carlisle fans during and after the game...it wasn't pleasant...not at all directed at you Brian...every town has those types but when one of the more recognized players is acting ugly in the stands towards the other teams cheerleaders, with her parents laughing...that's a bit much. But again, every town has those.  I was entertained though.

MomaLion

Also heard some very good natured Carlisle fans  :)

Carlisle may have those people as you call them but I think it's a shame that adults condone disrespect from kids to adults and the adults that hold them accountable for their actions they are considered those kind of people.  When I was growing up if an adult had to get on to a disrespectful kid  other adults didn't look down on them they supported that adult.  That's what's wrong with kids today no one calls them out on their disrespect and behavior and they have those adults stick their nose in and defend the disrespectful child. And as for the well known cheerleader who was supposedly making fun of another cheerleader, get your facts straight she went to her mom and was telling her what a red said to her it wasn't about another kid so get your facts straight before blasting other people.  And by the way those Carlisle people, they weren't the only ones who had trouble with the student fan from PW so did the McCoy fans and they also asked her to stop being disrespectful and she kept running her mouth to them as well.  Carlisle lost last night but the fans weren't mad they were sad for the Sr. Players that played their last game.

MomaLion

No, you get your facts straight..it wasn't a cheerleader it was one of the girl players. As for the kid incident, the "lady" was yelling and at one point cursed at her yelling "we don't give a **it about the **mn scoreboard"  ...the kid and others were loud and a bit obnoxious and I told her that as well. There was a man that responded very appropriately and calmly said "if you are nice to me, I'll be nice to you" and he and one of the louder kids were buddies after that...it was cute.

MomaLion

It's my opinion that the coaches over at PW should make that loud student section sit on their home side. It's often trouble when fans from both years playing are so close. Or maybe have a representative from administration up there keeping everyone in order. All of these are my opinions and observations.

Bisonfan3

I was there and that's not what was said what was said by the student was bye bye and the Carlisle fans said we aren't going anywhere we will be back with our girls can you say that about your girls.  That man was my husband and he wasn't budding around with the student.  But we will have to agree to disagree on that but I will agree that the admin. from all schools should make their fans sit on the appropriate side and slot of the altercations and negative interactions would stop.  They intentionally sit with the opponent to stir up stuff then their parents want to get mad because another adult calls them out on their actions.

MomaLion

That's just it, their parents weren't there. Another parent had to step in and tell her that if she has as problem with that child then she needed to take it up with her parent. The cursing was prior to all that...probably in the last minute or so of the game.
Crap, they were annoying me all night...the kids...but the only appropriate thing to do would be to approach a coach or admin from PW and voice a complaint..Or a parent if available.
That man cracked me up during the whole game, very good natured.
My apologies if I ruffled feathers...simply an observation. And btw, if any of our kids act in this manner, please approach admin and they will put a stop to it. Have a great day

Bisonfan3

Admin has been approached before and nothing was done that's a waste of time at PW the fact that adults can't ask children to stop being disrespectful without their parent not being there is just crazy to me.  And if the parent would take care of the situation if they were there it would never be a situation because they would make sure they sat on there side of the gym.  My kids know if I catch them on the parents side of a gym they are in serious trouble therefore I stop he situation before it ever gets started.  End of discussion.

Oh and I forgot everyone knows there is only 1 really know ball player on our team and she is a cheerleader also.  I also know she said nothing negative about another player or cheerleader from he opposing team so be very careful when calling out people by that type of description. And at Clarendon it's not the students that sit on the visitors side it's parents and we were told they couldn't make them sit on the home side they could sit wherever they want by admin. and the police on duty but as I said before if the school and parents made sure everyone sat on the right side (home/visitor which ever you are) there would be less altercations.

Missco

You cannot control where people sit. The same thing happened at Gosnell the other night. The visiting teams fan were sprinkled throughout the home side. The Gosnell admin. Couldn't ask them to move. This is America. I agree that fans should sit in their section but sometimes it is so crowed that their aren't true sections. I for one am an adult but I would be mad if someone ask me to move.

Can you elaborate as to which "player" this was? I am curious as to how you would know she was a player because we had no players in uniform last night. As for 'her" parents... was her mom and dad there? Being from Carlisle, this is a concern.

big E

For the most part the kids from PW have always sit on that side even when I was in school back 23 years ago. If anyone else has a problem with a child from PW go down to the lobby and get the deputy and he'll escort them out . We don't need kids acting like idiots.

Bisonfan3

I am all for school spirit and student sections but not in the middle of the parents fans it is America but as adults we should guide a kids to not be put in a situation like that or to act like that to the opposing teams fans as a parent I can control where my kids sit and it won't be on the parents side.  And also to the one who started this feed you are downing a parent for standing up to someone being rude and disrespectful but as I recall they did it to their face and stayed around and gave the parent plenty of time to ask what the problem was unlike you going on social media to talk about someone's child and you want to try and tell someone how to be an adult please.  The rest of PW student section was on the home side with plenty of room for the few who chose to be in the middle of Carlisle's fans.

HorseFeathers

You guys woulf hate the small gyms in western arkansas.....heck we had a coach get slugged by a parent this year out here, and you guys are upset that fans are mouthy geez

HorseFeathers

And from reading this thread...I assume some of you would want student sections banned all together in high school sports...disrespectful/taunting/critique the refs is what they do. On the other hand adults cussing at students should be escorted out....but that's just my opinion..

I'm all for student sections and here wasn't anyone cussing any students or anyone else for that matter it was a group of about 8-10 kids not just cheering for their team but being rude and disrespectful to everyone around them and there was plenty of room for them on the home side where the rest of the student section was.

Evidently McCrory played an ineligible player last night so they are out and PW plays Brinkley.

You must have a low opinion of Y'alls team if you think only one girl is recognizable...sad. As for Clarendon, we have admins sitting and walking all over the visitor side to keep issues at a minimum. Home side tends to fill up so there's no other option..plus they are adults and if there's a problem with them then y'all adults can deal with that as needed. We also generally have police on that side. We've only had one issue the whole season anyway. Carlisle had their own kids fighting on their home side when we played...our admin had to warn us leaving to avoid areas...so EVERY school has its issues.

I'm not calling a specific kid out on a public forum but anyone who watches the games regularly knows opposing teams players by sight.  She was with adults that I assume are her parents and they behaved well other than laughing at the girls mocking the cheerleaders...which honestly most people have been guilty of similar actions in competitive events...my point was just that people need to be aware that their actions reflect on their school...I have to remind myself of that from time to time lol.

Not at all, completely confident and very proud of the Carlisle Lady Bison!  But only 1 is being recognized by other entities so like I said be very careful how you describe a kid on social things.
We will definitely on disagree on these opinions on this feed because everyone has an opinion and your opinion and memory of the other night are totally different. As for this feed I believe you should have stuck with just posting scores and not bashing Carlisle fans.  As for games and fights well Clarendon is the last school that needs to be pointing out fights at games.  As I recall we had to ask the police several times to contain a lion fan that was on the visitor side and someone came out on the court while the players were having issues and a lion fan reached over the rail and tried to hit one of our boy basketball players and don't forget the show Clarendon and Marvel
put on. I'm done with this feed and you.

Really?! You are not calling out a specific kid?! You went on a public site meant for talking about sports and called out someone's child. If I remember correctly you stated that it was a "more recognized player from Carlisle ". You all but gave her name and jersey number. Now you want to crawfish and say you're not calling out a specific kid. Ok, I get it. My momma taught me that if I couldn't say anything nice to keep it to myself... Maybe Momalion should do the same. I have a daughter on that team that could fit that description and I take offense to anyone trying to force their views and opinions about anyone's child. Forgive me for not taking a drink from the Clarendon kool aid you are trying to serve but the kids at your school aren't perfect either. Just curious... Would you have been so quick to post this and say it was a more recognized Clarendon player? I bet not

Boys or girls? Whats the whole schedule for today

MomaLion

Ok, this is my final say on this subject because it's obvious we could go back and forth endlessly lol. Every school has its issues, kids are kids and fans are fans...good and bad in every group. I have much respect for Carlisles girls program and in fact praised the Jr girls and the Jr fans for their good natured behavior and the girls being very good. I apologize to Bildo if you felt like I was referring to your daughter...just noting that sometimes people see things that can be construed as negative even when you think it's a private joke. For the rest we will have to disagree, and that's ok.
Good luck to all teams the rest of the way :)
