Not exactly sure when, but it would appear that it is nothing new. It was painted on the pressbox of the football field in what seemed to be very aged paint. It was included in football and basketball, at least this season.

Bearden did not come ready to play. I have seen them play 5 times this season and they were not playing anywhere near their capabilities. Mineral was certainly the better team.

PARKERS CHAPEL - The Hornets started fast and never looked back Friday, eliminating Bearden from the 2A South Regional Tournament. J'von Atkins and Keshaun Davis led Mineral Springs with 17 and 16, respectively. Randy Hempstead and DeVontae Ross paced the Bears with 12 and 10, respectively. Mineral Springs led 21-13 after one quarter and was up 37-22 at the half. The Hornets play Junction City today at 1:30 p.m.

The Rams finished the game on a 20-6 run and advanced past the Go-Devils in the 2A-South Regional Tournament. Dermott plays Blevins today at 4:30 p.m. Keylos Thompson scored 18 points to lead Dermott. Darrell Glenn added 13 and Deundre Wilson 11 while T.J. Danzy and Brandon McAlister scored 10 apiece. Alunzo Leeper led Gurdon with 28 points. Gurdon led 54-52 with less than four minutes remaining.

Did PC ever consider using a second gym and making all teams play their semi-final games Saturday morning and final/consolation games Saturday night or is AAA calling those shots?  With the weather delays, are the other three Regions on schedule or further behind than the south?

Yeah Blevins isn't as good as they were last year. It doesn't help that they lost their 2nd and 3rd best players to knee injuries at the beginning of the season. It is remarkable what Coach Kelton has done with this team.
