Classless or not? That, along with the "We got cheated" chant lol and the booing of the Riverside players makes for a pretty good case. The PA guy had to call the Earle team out of the dressing room for trophy presentations.

The Earle fan should have been put out the gym but as for having to called out of the locker room for the trophy presentation those girls were emotional. You're talking about 12 and 13 year olds that had not lost a game all season.

I'll be the first to tell you that I am by far not the biggest fan of the Riverside program. Very far from it actually. But in today's game, it was all Earle who caused the chaos. I for once agree with BoxNone on something lol

Congrats to the Riverside girls, and the BIC boys for there tournament titles. Heres my take on todays action. Earle had numerous oppourtuines to put the game away, but let Riverside hang around. I think Earle was undefeated, and yes thats hard on a bunch of young ladies. I seen Eddie Hillis and one of the Earle parents arguing, and he was ejected. Im pretty sure he was upset about the non call on a jump ball with the Riverside player punching the Earle player in the back with no call. Yes he got escorted out per Hillis. But in the end the team that was hungry won. The Earle faithful definetly should not of done what they did once the game was over, and during the award ceremony. Not very classy. As for BIC they took care of business out the gate jumping on MT by 14. MT late in the 3rd cut lead to 1 but BIC was too strong today. Bill did a good recruiting job, and this years class payed off. Im sure he is at home doing his Risky Business dance for mommy on Valentine Day !!!!! Good job to the coaches Womack & Taylor.

If you don't think what Earle fans did was the most humanly classless act by adults ever then you are out of your mind. It's one thing to chant "We Got Cheated" but to boo 13 and 14 year old girls on getting all conference is absolutely distasteful. I find it funny that no school administrator never was seen or said anything.

This will be a never-ending debate. My opinion is that the minute you throw a game for whatever reason is a sad day. The fact that it had ramifications on other schools just makes it despicable...again, in my opinion.

a sad day is when you lose someone close to you, not a basketball game...smh

The fan was asked to leave. As to the the dressing room thing, I was referring more to the coach should have took charge of that situation. You are right about young kids not always knowing the right way to respond to a disappointing situation.

I have watched a lot of Riverside games over the years. There have been some fans ejected in that period. However, I have never heard that language used around young people by any of them. Never seen them boo other teams players making all conference either. Yesterday, after the Riverside all conference players were booed there was no booing of the Earle girls when they were called out. All that being said, it was a great jr high girls game. The first two times the teams played Riverside had sizable leads late in the game and proceeded to blow the games. Yesterday Earle had the good lead and blew it.

I didn't call out any school administration. That was on someone else's post actually. And I don't dislike any teams in this conference. This is just a very tough conference with several rivalries in it. Yes, I might be a fan of BIC but that doesn't mean I support every decision they make.

Yeah with temps not getting above freezing for a couple days it might be Wednesday or Thursday before they start playing games. Looks like another rush to finish by next Wednesday for regionals.

Nobody ever has a reason to boo and yell at kids. The Riverside Jr. girls didn't deserve to be booed and yelled at. They are kids( 12-14 year olds). If you want to yell at the referees, I have no problem with that because they are grown men but don't try to justify booing kids from another team when they are being announced for all conference awards. I know the Earle fans got caught up in the emotions at the time and a lot of them might wish they could take that back after the fact. Something lost in society today is the statement. "I'm sorry, I was wrong." People make mistakes but don't try to justify them.

I figured this would happen. Might have to think about separating the boys and girls sites so they can get this thing in before the start of next Wednesdays regionals at BIC. Might be Thursday before they get started pending on what happens tonight.
