Aren't Nemo girls 2-1 against Wonderview this year? Or is it just 1-1

1-1 and lost to them Tuesday night by 10ish...Best game I've seen Wonderview play over the past two years, they had a game plan on defense and made Nemo look not so good...

Both Wonderview and Nemo have beat Kirby though...

Final score was 44-39. Wonderview led pretty handily throughout the game. Chase Paladino hit 3 pointer with like 2 seconds left to put Nemo within 5 and keep them in the running to outright win conference.  Wonderview was prepared and played a very good game. Looking forward to tournaments coming up.

Kingston beat Wonderview also.

Emerson has had 2 starters out for their last few games. A lot of other teams around here are missing players as well

And Acorn...Seems like when they're ranked they bow out early, when they aren't ranked they make the semi's of state...High School ball is just weird like that...

Personally...I'd probably have

1. Nemo Vista
2. Kingston---They look to have found their Mojo
3. Kirby----Outside of maybe Acorn, not sure they've actually played and beat anyone that's actually good...
4. Wonderview--Yes Mulberry Beat them...But they still have one of the best coaches in the game, and possibly the best player in 1A..
5. ICC_--Haven't done my homework on them either...but figure they are probably the best in NE Arkansas
6. Jasper/Mulberry/Scranton/Acorn---Region 1 looks to have 4 teams that are above average this year..and Acorn is usually there every year, and are usually ranked pretty high most seasons...

Anyone know anything about ICC boys? I hear they have basically the same team as last year. Did they just have a bad game against Emerson in state last year? They lost by 19.. Everyone was saying that the Walker boy could shoot lights out and get to the basket whenever he wanted but he didn't do a whole lot when I saw them. I imagine they're atleast top 10 this year.. I'd say they're about 5th or 6th.. I'm just wondering if they could make some noise this year

Could make some noise, play hard, and i think they have a different center, i heard he was a foreign exchange student. Had one at center last year also.  This one is better.   Look good at all 5 positions. dont know about depth.  They are the best Class A team I have seen; have not seen Bay; have seen Wonderview and all north central arkansas teams.  That is my opinion.  I have not seen the southern class a teams.   I am sure they thought they could make a big run if they would have gotten state located at ICC.

Their girls team will be harder to deal with at the end of the year; have a freshmen at point and sophomore would can play anywhere, Cooper, she is best Class A girl I have seen; certainly not seen them all.

I saw some pics on Izard facebook page and they were playing Bay.   I'm pretty sure it had to have been during the 2014-2015 season because Watson from Bay was in the pics and I think he played at Maynard during 2013-2014.  When was this game played and what was the outcome?.  ICC was dressed in white so it must have been played at ICC.  Also, who is #11 from ICC, in a couple of successive pics it shows him dunking on Bay, and he must have great spring, as he does not look to be really tall.  Also, is #42 the foreign exchange student, he looks to be the biggest player on the team?

It was a preseason jamboree so it was only a half and Bay won by 9-10.

Both are exchange students and both pretty good - they'll set #11 up for ally-oops and he dunks with ease - he's the shorter of the two

That could be - there is a Mosley that plays for them and he dunks too - I haven't seen the photo - and I am wrong - #42 is an exchange student , so is #13 but he doesn'r play alot - 42 is tall & a good player(starter)

Found the picture and in the comments it says Clay Mosley. I think he put down a 2 handed dunk that night and missed a one handed dunk that popped off of the rim, both were against Bay.

He is not a freshman.
Lots of stories floating around as to how ICC keeps hitting home runs on these foreign exchange players. If it's all legal then so be it. Foreigners play every year at a lot of schools, but I've heard they haven't exactly got theirs on the up and up.  Someone close to the situation tells me that videos are seen ahead of time and players are hand picked.  Not how it's supposed to happen. I'm sure it happens at a lot of places though.

Acorn Girls have made semis the last three years.  two years we were really good and the other was a young team that just got better and better as the season went along and peaked right when they were supposed to.  4 years ago Acorn Girls made the state tournament for the 1st time in a very long time.     

I'm ready for the State tourney to get here so I can see some of the teams I've only read about all year.  ICC and Jasper are two I don't know much about and hope to see early in the tournament.  My girl is a senior this year so I'm following the girls side a lot more than the boys.

I read on here about the great coaches in 1A and Mike Jackson should be mentioned here with the others.  I think he will be as the years roll along and he continues to win.
