thinking about it coach Joyner has had a really good run the past several years.
I think I am correct in saying this will be their 4th state title game in the last 6 years...
2009 6A State Title vs LR Hall
2010 6A Qtr final loss to W. Chapel- I think they had Daniel Broughton not sure
2011 6A State Final loss to LR Parkview - Appleby severe ankle sprain in victory over Jonesboro in semis
2012 6A Semi Final loss to Jonesboro - totally dominated in that game after beating Jonesboro twice in reg season
2013 5A State Title vs Alma
2014 5A State Title game vs Forrest City

should be a great championship game. Coach Joyner has done a great job with the Red Devils and has to be one of the top coaches in the state......

I totally agree with what you said.  But you forgot to mention...
2013 5A State semis vs Clarksville (I believe undefeated in the season)
2014 5A State semis vs Harrison (last two years in the semis)

Jacksonville is a very great team.  Love them.  But I voted for the East as an underdog.  They have not done too bad in the playoffs.  We will see...

Titan agree 100% on Joyner. This will be a heck of a game. These 2 squads had some tremendous battles in the old 6A East. They are clearly the 2 best teams in 5A. The war in the paint will be fierce. Too close to call.

I think coaching will be a big factor in this game. Jacksonville has a huge edge there. FC has the talent but with every game at state that I watched I walked away thinking, FC is winning on talent alone but if they had a good coach they wouldn't be touchable.

Coach Lofton is a heck of a coach. He's been around for almost 20 years as head coach of FC. He was winning conference championships back when FC didn't have the talent they do this year. I would take Lofton over just about any coach in the 5A.

Both are good coaches in their own right. Joyner has won a couple of rings so if you base it on that he gets the edge. Coach K, John Wooden, Calipari, Knight, Nolan all just won with talent. Winners of 22 of last 23 with 17 straight sounds a little untouchable to me. Beat PA easily twice this year by 15, the same PA that drills favorite Clarksville and team that has beat Jacksonville. It will be a great game and will not suprised by the result either way.

Fearless posters correctly predicted this game to move to 4-1 thus far.

Great job by the Mustangs all oturnament. Tough enviroment against Alma for any team to deal with. After that they rolled on to title. No 5A team has the depth Mustangs have. 26 off bench in finals.
