The best in 2a.  They have a average of 5.85 pts per game with 19 of 41 against Smackover. Against 2a a total of 22 scored against 2nd-3rd string and Freshman...Average 3.6 pts......

2a_dog

Who are some of there leaders on the defense?? Do you think they'll have a problem against Woodlawn?

Josh Armstrong leads the team in tackles. Taylor Mason and Jamario Bell are the leaders on the line. The rest of the team are just as good these few just stand out a little. Woodlawn won't score unless it's against the subs.....

Dragon I

Hermitage and Rison both scored on the starters.  The Hermitage TD was a busted play kept alive by an amazing athlete.

I heard Josh Armstrong and Matthew Freeman make a great duo at linebacker. Freeman and Armstrong are neck and neck for leading the team in tackles I heard.

Freeman is a good LB, but doesn't have the speed of Armstrong. He plays hard and tough but not neck and neck with Armstrong......

When I watched Freeman play against Carlise he recorded 27 tackles, he seemed like a more dominant run stopper. Freeman was leading the team after the bearden game with his 14 tackles 3 for loss game. My buddy that helps with stats in jc was talking about him. Seems like an impressive player.

2a_dog

Leading overall for the year.

Dragon I

I'm sure it has a lot to do with teams running away from Josh this season.

Josh Armstrong leads the team in tackles, did last year and will this year...............He will break the school record this year. Haven't talked to anyone, that's info Wayne put out and he's normally right on........

I know Devin ball is first and he had 100 tackles 10-12 but I believe joe hall is ahead of him

Josh Armstrong had 184 before the championship game with DA. He passed Ball and doesn't like many to catch Hall. He just doesn't get much playing time. He does hold the most tackles for a single game also.....

Correct my last post a little............
Josh Armstrong became the third Dragon to record 300 or more tackles in a career. He now has 306 career tackles and is 14 away from tying Devin Ball (2005-08) for second place on the school's career tackles list.

JC obviously stat pads. Starters don't play but 1 qtr and register 39 tackles a game....lulz.

Wilson

Yes and they are allowed to keep the official score in all games.   little know fact. . JC has actually lost all but 1 of their games this year by a combined 450 points. . they just don't count the other teams score. .

W, I think BH is confused by that multiplier the AAA put in a few years back.  Since the thirty or so Arkansas Dragons are so genetically inferior to the half a dozen or so Louisiana Dragons, every tackle and interception made by an Arkansas Dragon is multiplied by 3.14159265358979 (just to make everything fair).  ;D

JC's defense swallowed up Bearden. These dudes got it going on.

the only problem that JC has on defensive against Woodlawn....can anyone on Defense actually find "Woodlawn" on a map?  ???:0

FD4

My take on talent going from High School to the next level.  At the D1 level, no matter how good you were in HS, your average at best in College and more than likely below par.  But that is where coaching comes in and brings out that talent at the so called next level.  Less than 1% of HS players have the ability to step in and play.

Sort of related.  I just noticed that the high school record book is wrong.  It shows that 1970 Cabot holds the record for fewest points allowed in the regular season and for the season at 7 and 21 respectively.
JC and Hazen are well on their way to being on the list for this season, but both records belong to 1993 Carlisle.  6 and 13

JC has had 22 pts allowed in conference play this year and another 13 by Smackover.

Junction City had 12 and 13 in Conf. play....1969 & 2008 I think???

Yes. Total pts.  93 team only gave up 6 pts to east end in regular season.  Then lost to Barton 7-0 in finals.

Somewhere in that book is a submission page.  Have Carlise's administration submit the form and the book will be updated.  Kind of silly for stuff like scores to need authentication, but that's the way it works.

BrianfromCarlisle

Funny thing is they have their pts scored per game and for the season.  But not pts allowed

Hazen only had 6 scored on them in 79
