Despite the outcome, no one outside of Ashley County can truly understand either side of this rivalry, so if they wanna THINK blowout let them think it, both Hamburg and Crossett know that a blowout will not be the case come Friday night
I believe that Hamburg's defense will have one of their best nights all season, and now with the offense clicking the Lions point spread could be pretty good and maybe even a shutout. The seniors at Crossett have never seen the Ashley County Bowl Trophy and chances are the sophomores won't either. As long as the Hamburg fan stay live and keep the Lions going it might be at Hamburg's advantage all night.

Dear LORD! That was horrendous! TONS of Warren fans were waiting on those zebras as they ran off the field to give them the what for after that game. Absolutely horrid officiating.

True_Fan9

Crossett has bigger problems than worrying about officiating Friday night

Not if Crossett is driving into the red zone consistently and they are consistently called for Phantom holding calls that stall the drives.

Starts with the refs in Hamburg.

RAZORBACK FOOTBALL

I thought Bo was going to fall out on the sideline and after the game if not for the side gate don't think the refs would have made it.........BUT!!!! I have serious doubt the outcome if this game will have anything to do with a flag......Hamburg has had 31 penalties in 2 games if anybody should be mad about a flag I would have to say it would be that bunch.

True_Fan9

Figured it would start with kickoff... But if AW says it then it's the truth

b.r.93

This game will not be close. Not even a little bit. Hamburg will be to much for crossett

Yup. And you're already down 7 to Hamburg before the kickoff.

True_Fan9

Down by 7? Must be a new one for this week. Been to every home game last several years and it's always started 0-0

RAZORBACK FOOTBALL

What is the average penalties per game for the Eagles this year Eddie?

EagleForLife12

Penalties are going to happen, long as there isn't a repeat of the '11 game (the brawl) then I believe things will be ok.

AirWarren

Eddie Goodson

No idea on penalties. Haven't seen any stats. Any is too many.

That was a very entertaining night on the sidelines. Almost as interesting as the post game coaches meeting. Que sera sera.

Shaping up to be a good one though. Eagles come through with a 6 point win. Fly high!!

Eddie Goodson

If you want to stir up a hornet's nest go to 5A board and mention Hamburg/Wynne playoff game to Wynne folks.

HeberFan

Will this basically decide third and fourth place in the conference ?

Could have implications on 1 and 2 seed as well. Doubtful it does but it could.

I watched the film of that infamous game back in 97. One of the greatest travesties in Arkansas high school football.

for Hamburg, not Crossett. Let's be for real Crossett has only played the worst teams in the conference. Yall are about to hit a world of hurt.

b.r.93

Heberfan. 3rd and 4th seed? So you're just going ahead and assuming hamburg will lose to warren?

We basically have the following:
Warren/ dway with no conference losses
Crossett/ hamburg with 1 conference loss
And star city with 2
These are the teams which will fill the five playoff spots in the playoff...

Crossett next three games are Hamburg, Dway and Star City...Crossett is playing for a Second thru fourth seeding....

HeberFan

I think Warren's strength of schedule will help. But also think injuries could be huge. Anyone know who is hurting on either team ?

The way I see it Star City isn't any better but...they still have a shot at 2nd. They won't get it but they still have a shot.

You will lose this week giving you 3 losses. That will eliminate you from getting second.

Gonna be one heck of a Game the last week of the season. Wish it was being played on a different day than the rest of the conference so I could see it.

Yea, zero credit goes to the kids playing their butts off. Hamburg didn't win because the players did anything right, Warren lost because of bad calls. I believe a whopping ZERO of the refs from that game were from Hamburg. But heck, at least it wasn't the kids playing their tails off to beat a team who is respected for dominating the conference each year.

Didn't you know?   Warren doesn't lose, they only get beat by refs and weather.  Please pay attention.

b.r.93

Every time warren loses a game it's because them darn refs were out to get them!

HeberFan

Pulaski Academy whipped Warren up and down the field. And it was Warren's field, by the way.

b.r.93

Man. It's a shame to be hated so much.

Maybe one day you whittle fellas can get Warren's 8-4a crown.  :D

No doubt Warren has a great football program. But they're beatable.

Congrats on that analysis. Every team that steps on the field has a chance to be beat.

EagleForLife12

Crossett is already in and thats more than what anybody expexted from us, so I'm just ready for these next 3 weeks to be over because personally I believe the 4A8 is going to do damage in the playoffs.

ctownvillain

Hamburg fans live in a fantasy world if they think that they finish any higher than 3 in the conference.... The only time that hamburg has beat warren in the last decade was at hamburg and the lions should have been ashamed of what they let the refs done......I am not saying crt will win but I will say that its going to be a game
