Top to Bottom its not bad but Charleston and Booneville are way ahead of everybody else Lamar will be pretty good Paris will be good not great and Lavaca could pick up where they left off last year....

Nice to see people including Lavaca. They played pretty well against a decent Pottsville team losing 7-0 with many opportunities to score.

I think all you have to do is look at the last 20 conference titles in that conference and we will know how good the conference is.  If Charleston has won like 15 or more of those then it is not very good.  No offense to Chucktown by any means, but we are talking about conferences not teams.  I'm sorry but when I think of power schools in 3A there are only two from that conference and there used to be only one.  With the addition of Booneville it is much better though.

Here is the bottom line:  the 4-3A was the best conference in 2013 and it wasn't close.  They added Booneville, Charleston won the state championship with ease, Paris, Lamar, Mansfield, Danville and Lavaca all return the bulk of their teams.  It is still the best and it isn't close.

3A-4 Conference -- It's a no-brainer with the two best teams in the class coming in at Nos. 1 and 2. But where the league wins the race is its steady strength down the line. Three teams are in the Top 10 and six of them are among the 21 best teams in Class 3A.
3A-2 Conference -- Challenges the top dog with all five teams in the Top 20. The difference for the 3A-2 Conference is that it's not quite as strong at the top. Harding Academy is almost always a legitimate Top 5 team, but the Wildcats are the only team in the Top 10 and one of only two 3A-2 teams in the Top 15.
3A-3 Conference -- The next three are almost too close to call. All five teams finish 26th or better from this league. Three teams crack the Top 15.
3A-5 Conference -- This league is better than the 3A-3 through its top three teams, but there is a significant enough drop in the middle to put the 3A-5 just behind the 3A-3.
3A-6 Conference -- With Smackover, McGehee and Fordyce, this league has a Top 3 that rivals the 3A-4 Conference. But the fourth- and fifth-place teams would have problems making the playoffs in all four of the leagues rated ahead of them.
