I like the faith you guys are putting in my Hornets.  I would personally put them a little lower, but still in the top 10 preseason just because there are so many unknowns coming into this year.  I'm excited about our team this year, but I'm going to temper my expectations a bit.  I don't think we'll run the table in the West this year, but I think we'll be at or near the top when it's all said and done.  We have a lot of our potentially tough games at home this season - LRC on the road worries me, and the Greenbrier game will be big.  Vilonia on the road could also prove to be a tough game.

Anyway, I'll fill out a top 10 sometime this coming week.  I think the ones so far look pretty good and comparable to what mine will look like.

Love it when people stick their neck out a bit!!  Curious about your high estimation of CF.  What have you heard or seen?  They certainly have had a history of exceptional athletes and some tradition.

Also, what evidence would you cite for a 5th place ranking for P.A. other than a young QB?

I don't think their sophomore QB and their team this year will be as good. That's all.

Thanks!  The South and wild West will certainly be fun to watch and the early P.A./Wynne match-up will be telling.  I'd love to see the Pioneers host the Cardinals again in the playoffs.  The last meeting of the two nearly gave me a heart attack:). After a dominating first half performance by the Pioneers (led by the O-Line), the Cardinals rallied in the second half, competing to the final minute.  As a fan, one of my favorite games.
