Breitontime

Christmas Eve, on a motorcycle, light jacket, and an open face lid, and I am not freezing my nads off. This is quite nice.

Breitontime

Yep, had to break this gal out of the shop and go for a spin.

Jacketman65

Hope all have a safe Merry Christmas!!

It really does...

Breitontime

This weather has been absolutely spectacular.

NEA Razorback olfan

I can do without the storms this kind of weather brings though!!

AirWarren

Shorts. Sun roof open.

sevenof400

I can do with a day of storms in exchange of riding three or four of the other days of the week without freezing.

sevenof400

100% humidity today.
Outer side of windows sweating.
December in Arkansas.
Yuck.

AirWarren

Killed a snake in my driveway today.

Killed a snake in my driveway today.

See, even the wildlife is confused.

AirWarren

About to see how confused they are. Last trip to the deer woods for the year.

Valleysports

Hope you took your rain gear.  However it's W-NWA that's gonna get the rain, pretty heavy, all day long.  Currently coming down solid in the River Valley.

AirWarren

It hasn't quite made it to the saline/grant line yet. Muggy as a sauna though.

HorseFeathers

I like rain, but this is getting out of hand

AirWarren

Tornadoes in Arkansas.

Crazy snow and ice storms in central and west Texas.

HorseFeathers

Just got an alert for a flash flood warning on my phone...and considering the creeks look like this....flash flooding may not be an issue right now

HorseFeathers

Thv11 reporting possible tornado on the ground in Cleveland county....

AirWarren

My mom sent me a pic of the funnel cloud that went west of Warren. Wicked.

The pics of the Hampton tornado are impressive.

Breitontime

Heard the Corps of Engineers are saying water is going to go over the darn in Russellville/Dardanelle.

I drove back from Louisiana today, seems the real bad weather hit just after I got across Little Rock. Didn't rain at all through El Do, Sheridan, Fordyce on my way through.

Friend of mine that lives in Plainview is expecting to not make it to work tomorrow cause of the flooding...

Longfellow

We're getting a little bit of sleet out here at the Two Rivers gym. It was 70 two days ago

Valleysports

Two Rivers Gym?  What ya doing there Longfellow?

Hwy 155 (Hollowbend Road) is flooded over on Hwy 154 end.  Arkansas River is backed out of banks big time.

Breitontime

The Illinois at the cabin yesterday North of Hector.

There is usually a bit of water, knee deep running straight down the tree line to the very left of the picture about 20' wide, with a big, tall rock bank where the trees are to the right of the treeline.
Water has to be about 25' deep to cover the rock bank entirely. Only seen it that high a hand full of times. It has entirely flooded my road down from the cabin to the creek, and the field down at the bottom of the hill.

Yell County Tournament

sevenof400

That water is a lovely shade of brown there Breit...eeeewww.

Breitontime

You can typically see straight down to the bottom.

We decided against paddling around in it yesterday. It's just high enough to get you killed when you hit a big rock that is usually 10' out of the water.

Valleysports

And we've lost more lives.  You might know them Bret?  Daughters friends - Duck Hunting in Oklahoma.  One body recovered, the other not.  Also a 31 yr old male (north of Dover), apparently stranded vehicle, then swept down stream on foot, body was recovered.  Five days ago - a storm blew a tree down on the bedroom of an 18 yr old near Atkins.

So....same stretch of creek?

cuckoobird

Several cabins are in danger in southern Arkansas county along the Arkansas river. Mine included. If all flood forecasts are correct it will get just under mine but not in it.

Breitontime

Most likely, HF. I think all the stretches look about the same.

Prayers sent for all the Flooding I am seeing back home in Arkansas.  Christmas was Crazy we wore shorts and grilled the day before and ran the heat Christmas day.

AirWarren

Heavy snow here in Maumelle.

Just two weeks ago it was in the 60s and 70. Ah Arkansas.

Valleysports

Finally - birds & weather......

It didn't snow at all in pope county...didnt even get a good frost this morning

AirWarren

Got about 5.5 inches here. Pinnacle mountain is beautiful this morning.

Lineman

How are the roads?  I'm heading to the rock tomorrow afternoon.

AirWarren

My roads around Maumelle look ok. I've seen everything from Honda accords to Jeeps getting around. Not sure what little rock is like other than what the tv is showing and reporting. Some of the more hilly roads are still sketchy but if you know what you're doing and drive safe you'll be ok.

I haven't gotten out though.

Lineman

Thanks. I won't be there til about 4pm tomorrow so I'm not too worried.
