We were due. The 2 previous sac attempts failed with bases loaded in the ninth so trying it again was pretty risky.

When you had two shots to win the game and make a gutsy call that cost you those shots, you would think a coach would become a little more conservative. Not DVH.

Some would call it an ego problem or straight up hard headed.

I call it being a winner.

Van Horn is crazy.  He's a lot of fun to watch, and I'm glad Arkansas has him.  He's gonna be here a while too, Arkansas was apparently his dream job.  The hogs are starting to play to their ranking a little.

Well today the Hogs lost because of an inside the park 3 run homer in the 8th.

And today they won on a grand slam.  Great weekend HOGS, could have easily been a sweep if not for two errors in one inning.

They won by more than Walker's grand slam today, it was a good game for the hogs, 8-3.  Vandy got a run on a bad call, too.  A guy was coming home, missed the plate and Walker tagged him as he was desperately trying to get back to the plate to touch it.  The umpire apparently thought he was putting on a show because he called him safe in the first place.  A replay showed that he never touched it.  Didn't even matter though.

So now it is ALL the coach and not the players?  He is a good coach and I give him credit but also it takes the players executing.  I am glad we are giving an Arkansas coach some love though.
