Coach Stamps has taken the asst job at Fayetteville.

Stamps is a FHS alumni an played for FHS in the late 80's.

He began his coaching career in the district as well.

HUGE LOSS for Springdale!!! Coach Stamps did an amazing job for the Red Dogs. Got the most out of his players every year. Best of luck on his return home and he has to be the frontrunner to take over for Adams when he retires.

On a personal note Brad is one of the best people you will ever meet. Glad to call him a friend.

Davis isn't leaving Clarksville anytime soon, IMO.

Any word on the Springdale is considering?

Brian G

Interest a little slow.  But I would expect a hiring pretty soon.

Serious question: why would Davis be of interest to Springdale?
What has he done at Clarksville to show he can build a program?

Brian G

I think it's down to 3 who will all interview Thur/Fri.

One is local.
One is a sitting HC at a lower classification in Arkansas.
The other is from out of state.

My prediction is #2.

Brian G

I would have posted them if I wanted too.

I hear one is Beau Thompson, from Farmington.

Brian G

Don't believe he is in the mix at this point.

I was wondering about the sitting head coach from a lower classification.   Heard cedar ridge coach might have been in on this job.

Nope he won't be taking that job.

Brian G

It appears a 4A head coach is headed to Springdale.

Sounds like a good opportunity.  The rules and fundamentals are still the same so it shouldn't be a tough transition.

What school in south ark?   Or at least what conference?

Brian G

False Alarm!

Springdale has hired current asst coach Jeremy Price.

Brian G

Jeremy is the son of Steve Price the 30+ year coach at Springdale SW Junior High.

He is a Springdale alum and was the HC at George Jr High before moving up to SDale High this year.

Maybe Springdale can hire Sean Price to be the new asst coach.

Two of the top guards for Springdale just announced they are transferring to Springdale Harber immediately. Not sure how this can happen again without some serious red flags being raised!
