Smallest margin of victory for ICC this week? Lets start at 19.5, what do you guys think?

I see the boys side kind of like 2015 where the champion is a foregone conclusion.   So what will be the value of the tournament other than to the AAA?   I guess it will be the entertainment provided by competitive games themselves, rather than the tournament as a whole.   For example, re-seed, so that Dermott could play Nevada for 5th time rubber match, winner gets ICC.   Or maybe the Concord vs Kirby for two great coaches going against each other.  Or can Timbo redeem themselves and salvage season against Nevada.   Or County Line vs Concord, two very good programs going at it.    Maybe a poll to see who might could play ICC within 25.    Have ICC play Dermott and Kirby at the same time......got to find something that would make folks spend time and money to go.    OR may be ICC play Bradley with 3 on 5.......grasping for something here..........

How about nobody within 25 by mid 3rd quarter.   Mop up time or mercy rule could impact final difference

How about a southern team making it to the finals and...winning?!?  :o

You have already convinced me this will never happen, so it didn't cross my mind, as something that would put any interest in this tournament.

Frank Abagnale Jr.

What teams from the south could match up well with ICC? Gotta be able to basically match them bucket for bucket. I should be at several games this week at ICC, although I don't expect to see many good games.

PTplayer

Any region 4 team on a good night will go bucket for bucket with ICC. Don't get me wrong it is icc's tournament to lose but region 4 is bringing some contenders

Oklahoma State or LSU maybe.....?   Truthfully, very few good games on boys side, except from a basketball purist standpoint where you get two fairly evenly matched teams........maybe MVE/Kirby or County Line/W Grove....could be some good girls games...Norfork/MVE, Kirby/Wonderview.....otherwise crickets......crickets.......crickets.....

You have to go bucket for bucket with the most high powered offense in the tournament while going against the best defense in the tournament. Its not gonna be easy.

PTplayer

Best defense in tournament will be dermott period

Not even close. Period. And ive seen Dermott.

Now, now, let the young southlings fantasize about their mighty teams. Dermott will get their chance to show everyone what they're made of in just a few more days.

Ive got alot of respect for those south teams. I think all 4 will win 1st round games and i expect to see 1 in the finals. Would be cool to see an ICC vs. Nevada finals rematch of 2008.

ICC will not be played in single digits like 2015 bay. No way no how

Well, there are ways that it could happen - just extremely unlikely.

On the girls side the Concord vs Kirby 1st round matchup should be a good one. Cornett is a master at overachieving. I'm personally looking forward to a Wonderview vs Viola rematch in the 2nd round

Concord should win that game.  I think Norfork and Rural will meet in Round 2.

Looking forward to Norfork/Rural. Norfork will have a chance to go very far but could really be tested by a good young Rural team. Playing in the 3 gets you ready.

Rural beat them earlier in the season in OT, if this matchup comes to fruition it will be a dandy for sure, but they both got work to do before that can happen.

First shot Westside had at Rural, they did well on defending the 3.  What Rural got off from behind the arc were more misses than hits.  Westside won that one.  In Regional's, Rural was on fire from 3.  I know Norfork likes the deep ball as well, but I think most expect Norfork to be in the Finals.

Also on the boys side intrigued to watch the New School/Hillcrest matchup. Watched Hillcrest several times this year and they are very solid. No idea what New School is bringing but a very good record.

Does anyone know if there will be any live streaming during the tournament? Or will ICC create a Facebook account with frequent updates of the action?

From what I understand the Concord, Rural Special, MVE, and Timbo games will be live stream by Lake Area Sports.

This is the first time I've heard about New School since Christmas

New school plays 7 kids, they're a solid 1a team, but struggled on the road in conference play... Got a couple kids that can score... Main player seemed to get frustrated easily in district final

I can agree with this.  The only games I see being real competitive today are County Line/Western Grove boys and Kirby/Concord girls.  I could see either team winning those games.

I think the Nevada game could be closer than most might think.......Nevada plays mostly sophs and first game jitters,  and Timbo is probably better than they were in Regional.      Nevada pulls away 2nd half.
