Not wanting to ruffle any feathers or criticize anyone's right to pick who they want, but I noticed that some have dropped CHG out of their top 10 or 15.  I posted my thoughts on this a few weeks ago and I knew this was gonna happen.  Ask yourself (and be honest) what your favorite team's record would have been had they opened up with Smackover, Prescott, Glen Rose, Strong, and Hampton.  I don't know much about other schools who are not in our area, but I know the caliber talent that we played. 

I'm disappointed that CHG played Glen Rose and Hampton close and had opportunities to get it done, but didn't.  As I sit here right now writing this, I'll take the 2-3 record and see what happens over the month of October.  I'll say this and I may eat my words later, but someone will come to CHG in the playoffs and lose.  Our team is scrappy and can put points on the board.  Maybe we can climb back into some of you guy's top 10 as we finish our season against Woodlawn, Bearden, Rison, and Parkers Chapel.  CHG plays a mean schedule.........kinda like Arkansas in the SEC West.

Again, I'm not trying to be critical.  I just find it interesting that some don't consider us as one of the better teams anymore.  For those who do and did have us in your rankings, I thank you for the respect our little 2-3 team deserves.

Their still top 5 for me because the coaches lost that game coming out of halftime passing the ball. Hard to beat a team twice and I hope we see a playoff rematch later in the year. Hampton made me a believer out of em and I'm picking them against everybody else until and if they play CHG again.

Can agree...nobody's nonconference schedule comes close to what the Hornets opened up with, I had y'all top 5 in preseason, and dropped to #7...going should get a lot easier in the next 5 weeks for you guys

For example, EPC plays Des Arc, and Marked Tree will play 8-2A Strong later in the season.

I hope someone calls and gets it going.  Hermitage was to be our Senior Night game and I know they were talking about how and when we were going to honor the seniors.  I know that our coaches would NOT agree to travel.  It was a home game for us and they would want to play it here.

I never said that anyone was scared of CHG.  You're replying to the wrong guy.  The guy from Earle implied that the McCrory coach was not wanting to play THEM because of "what THEY could do."

Maybe someone could help explain this to me, how do some people have Danville at 2 ahead of Hector? They have yet to get IMO a quality win and when Hector was beating the 4-2A worse than what Danville is everyone was saying they wouldn't be ranked very high bc they didn't play anyone. This is just confusing to me lol

The remnants of winning a 3A conference last year...and not being tested yet this season doesn't hurt.

1.    Hector    - My pre-season #1 pick and I'll stick with them until they get knocked off. 
2.    England  - Might have something to say about it on the 21st.

5.    Hackett
6.    Hampton - Still not quite sold on the dogs yet. Fordyce and HG the only ones they have played that are half way
                       good. Last 3 games they started out slow and had to make adjustments to come back and pull away           
                       in the 2nd half, what's going on in the 1st half. Don't get me wrong they have a good team, but I
                       want to see them go up against the heavy hitters ranked in the top 4. They fall behind to them, they
                       aren't coming back. Stop playing around and play for 4 quarters.
