I don't think Fordyce struggles with athletic teams because Fordyce has the athletes to compete. I think one of Fordyce's biggest issues is complacency. That's what the Redbugs showed against Paris and Fouke, they went into halftime and got comfortable in turn they got complacent, as if they had the game in the bag. Complacency has derailed many very good teams seasons before. For Fordyce to have a chance in this game they must play four full quarters of football with high intensity from opening kick off until the final whistle.

Fordyce has beaten better teams than Prescott has this year and their only loss was to undefeated Hampton. I hope Prescott wins but I believe Fordyce wins by 10

I wondered about that myself. Prescott has consistently been rated at #1 or #2 in 3A all season. Who is better? No one I saw on their schedule with the possible exception of Hampton who beat them like a drum.  [And, yes, I realize it was game 2.]

No doubt it's the toughest but outsiders of the conference just don't know! We will see how tough the 6 is Friday night!

Imo Fordyce's out of conference schedule is tougher than Prescott's. Normally Hope is a solid team and contributes to Prescott's sos, but with them being 0-10 this year it hurt. But on the other hand the 5 is tougher than the 6. The 5's 1 seed will beat the 6's, the 5's 2 would be the 6's, the 5's 3 would beat the 6's and the 5's 5 would beat the 6's...the only one the 6 may would win would be the 4...Fouke over Jessieville...maybe

Exactly the point. Trust me THE WOLVES are not looking that far ahead. One game at a time. But I know for sure opening round of the playoffs some of the Redbugs player were in Prescott tooting their own whistle about playing PTown, so now they will get their chance!

Hwy 24 to Camden. Hwy 79 to fordyce. As you come into fordyce take west 4th street to the right. Follow it to Atkinson street on your left. Field is on the right. Parking is in the big mud hole on your left. In all seriousness wonder what condition the field will be in...?

No telling with the recent rain.  I haven't been to Fordyce since they whipped us in 1997 (still cannot believe they didn't win it all that year).  Looking forward to the trip on Friday, and thanks for the directions!

Not really back to back, they had that powerhouse Drew Central in between. Also you're talking about Smackover who got beat by McGehee and CHG right? The same CHG that Prescott beat...

Fun facts:
-Prescott leads this series at 12 wins 10 losses 2 ties
-Prescott and Fordyce first played in 1922 with Prescott winning 34 to 6
-In the 1920s these teams played 4 times with each team winning once and tying twice
-I have no record of the teams playing again until the 1980s with Prescott owning the series this decade at 6 and 2
-Fordyce was dominant in the 1990s owning the series this decade at 7 and 3

I find it hard to believe these teams have only played twice in the 2000s with Prescott winning both games (2012 and 2013).  If anyone has additional information on this series, please post it.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Well after a slow boring week I guess I'll make my prediction... I'll take Prescott 38-20. It will probably be close till late in the 3rd. I believe Fordyce will be to tired to catch up. Just my opinion... Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wolves wear down the Bugs and pull away in the 4th quarter. Using more players keeps Prescott fresher. Flow 51's prediction of the score sounds about right.
