Watched this game on TV, and man it was pretty ugly. Besides Bay.... I can't see any of these schools from this conference getting out of regional and advancing to state.
Yes Bay will be the only possibility. This boys conference is extremely weak. Girls side is just the opposite. Earle girls will probably be the only team to advance to state.
I agree the boys side is weak but wow have you not seen Melbourne girls?
Melbourne still got to play Riverside twice in conference. Those two are easily at the top of 2a-3 girls!

Danville and Bigelow have split this year...believe neither won by more than 5
Yes they did split. Bigelow won at Danville by one in second game of season and then Danville won by seven in OT at Jessieville tourney over Christmas. Yes both are very young teams.

A kid from Quitman threw an inbounds pass off of WCC kid's face. From what I watched on Lake Area Sports' broadcast, it didn't look intentional. He got T'd up for it, though. Was a great game until about 6:00 minutes remaining, 2 point ballgame heading into the 4th. Quitman couldn't throw it in the ocean 4th quarter and WCC just dribbled out the clock and made Quitman gamble on defense.

You're from WCC so it probably seemed intentional to everyone on that side, just like it would have to Quitman or anyone else for that matter. It wasn't right if it was. I just said from the view online I was watching it didn't look to be, but being at the game and watching a livestream are two very different perspectives. Regardless of all of that it was a good ballgame, both teams play very hard.

Just seen video and that was the most intentional thing I've ever seen and for your coach to condone that is terrible! I say condoned it because he put him back in the game! The kid had his hands up in the air no way to protect his self! That could have been bad but luckily he just got a little fuzzy headed for a few minutes!

1. He's not my coach, he is Quitman's coach 2. You have let it run thru your mind for too long. In more recent news, what is up with Earle? I see your bears played them to one point and they are now 11-8 with a loss to EPC Friday night.

. Sorry I figured you was from Quitman that was a dirty play!I don't know much about Earl this year I know they have a different coach and a lot of talent I would never count them out! But it does appear that it's a open race this year for the title. EPC is starting to play some ball too. Start of year I figure it was a 2 horse race but know I think it's about 6 teams with a chance!

From Rose Bud, but our basketball has been rough for few years. Girls have been pretty good, but boys not great. Maybe in a year or two, though. We enjoy the small town ball around us. Heard EPC was better, but also heard Earle has a lot back from last year, which is what leaves me scratching my head after they dominated the championship game. Still have to be in the conversation along with Clarendon, MT and WCC.
Come on over to Marked Tree (District Tournament) site, and watch the boys division. It's a regional/state tournament preview. 1 to 2 teams that would probably advance if they were in another district will be boxing up the uniforms when they leave MT. How are the Jr High Boys doing this year?
Riverside jrs are something like 15-11 with around a 6-6 conference record. Dry spell for Riverside boys right now.
Not sure on the record of the BIC Jr boys they have been up and down this year. They have been without their 6'6 kid for a lot of the year with knee injury. He has something like jumpers fluid and they say he's still growing and his body is trying to adjust. I've heard he cld end up being like 6'9 or so according to doctors. They have also played without their 6'0 guard who has had a broke foot most of the year. They are both back and they are looking a lot better now. They have also been without one of their best players and shooters who came from Manila this year and can really shoot the ball and handle the ball really well. They will be really good next year in Jr High and who knows the limit in a couple years with everybody healthy.

Yes the should have a good future. I failed to mention they start a 7th grader right now that can shoot really well and also a 8th grader who shoots really well. Their 7th grade is really good also with 3 kids that can play.

I guess pick was right
and there was ever a question? lol
If they are #3, then 2A is wide open.

MVE is no slouch either, and they lost to Quitman by double digits earlier in the season.

It's not wide open. The people choosing the rankings in the democrat are very biased and rank people in the top 6 who have no reason being there.

I saw the video and agree it was bad but do you really look any better being an "adult" and trashing a kid?? 🙄
Not bashing kid never said name and never would! Coach is the one I have a problem with putting kid right back in the game! Kids will be kids!
CTuck, it looks right now like your bears may just win out. Showing zero signs of weakness. Saw yall play Nemo the other night, granted they're not very good, but still.

come on moma I'm getting sick of you always downing other team your worse than Big baby
I don't care what you're sick of. You were on here whining recently about a team bouncing the ball off one of y'all's players face so stop being hypocritical. When a player loudly claps and celebrates another player being injured, that's too far. They took the legs out from under both Malik and Rod causing injuries. The injuries themselves are not what I'm complaining about, it's the celebrating of injuries that is a problem.
Whatever moma you whine more than anybody I've ever seen! We have video evidence of what I griped about!

I was at the game and did not see anyone celebrating when he hurt his knee. The player from England cut in front of Cartright and he fell. There was nothing intential. Just take those two "L's" and head back to Clarendon. We do play physical in England, so man up or start playing volleyball.

Y'all need to learn to read. I never said anything about the foul itself. But jumping up and down clapping when you see a player down is inexcusable. As for the loss, y'all know that with Malik playing, that game isn't even close.
I'm not concerned about this game one way or the other.

Then you didn't see the player that committed the foul clapping when he saw Malik down? Well that's convenient. I guess that's acceptable in England.

Why is it everyone Clarendon plays is always so classless?

So haw can you say that. We beat you by 7 with Malik. After next year, it will not matter. When Clarendon loses this group of Sr's , they will be lucky to finish 500 next year.
Girls
Marmaduke 64
Brookland 83
F
Kalifa Ford 40pts
Marmaduke played good,
Best of luck in post season

And that shows how little you know. We only have a few Srs. We are heavy on Jrs. As for playing better Friday than early in the season, I told y'all that we played like crap in that first game. Had Malik not gotten hurt, we would have won at least by 15. So enjoy the win, we have district to prepare for... we actually have a competitive district.

but your best player is a senior and y'all have lost quite a few games this year so he is right be a lot worse next year! But atleast maybe people will quit trying to hurt and cheat y'all after Malik leaves!

Tough district ? I can assure you Bigelow, Cutter and Magnet Cove can beat Clarendon.
Y'all believe what you want. I know what the future holds in Clarendon and it's bright.
