I think that's about spot on if we make all the EP's

Youngsta71701

I heard Hamburg had pretty good speed. It was said that they are faster than us.

This one is only close if the Lions are pumped to play their old coach and Camden is still thinking about last Friday night or if camden turns the ball over 4 times. Otherwise, cox will be able to score as much as he wants to because CF will have much better success trying to block this defensive line. Lions going to struggle to move the ball.

Agree. If our O-line has success, we will probably rush for over 300 yds. I think we have put the Eldo game behind us. You know Gate always said that game really doesn't matter.

I will say he's usually right about the cats getting better as the season goes. Hope the Cards will do the same.

Yeah, last year I think we got complacent as the season went on.

It was neither of the two. Teams began to figure out our limitations.

And what was our limitations? We had everything we needed to win another championship. Starting with QB play. The only weakness I seen was the field goal kickers.

We had limitations.  I won't say what they are on this board.  By the way, you said, "last year, I think we got worse or either too complacent as the season went on."  That doesn't sound like a kicker problem to me.  We had kicking issues from the first game. Kicking did not get worst as the season went on. Neither the players on the coaches were complacent either.  They all worked hard and the players were fired up and ready to go all season.

The offense was inconsistent and did not play at a championship level.   There WERE limitations.  Maybe you should ask yourself what you meant by your "we go worse or complacent" remark.

I said worse OR complacent. Key word OR. I think I'll got with complacent since we want to get technical. Some might have felt like all we had to do was show up and we will win the game because we're Camden Fairview. I kind of felt like that after the Hope game. And by the way I was talking about the team as a whole when I made that statement not just the kickers. All the Camden fans know we had kicking issues from the beginning.  I remember some other issues but we've overcome those issues for years now.

You may have thought that (bolded quote), and some CF fans may have thought that, but I assure you that the coaches and players did not think that way.  Its funny that you mention the Hope game.  There was a reason why CF's offense struggled against Hope, and it had nothing to do with complacency on the part of CF.  The offense also struggled in other games last season.  Those kids and coaches were NOT complacent.  They were driven to get back to back Championships.

If you think about what Hope did to shut us down, you will be on your way to getting it.

I think what was meant by limitations was that whoever beat CF last year either forced them to become one-dimensional, or were able to exploit a specific weakness with their defense.  I don't know anything about CF or Hope last year, but this was how I interpreted what all has been said.  Every team will have at least one weakness; some are just able to hide it better.

Anyway, I think CF will win by a few touchdowns.  Hamburg is always very athletic, but I don't think they have the depth to keep up with CF for 4 quarters.

Ok,Thanks Chief.   :)            I was referring to last year Youngsta

I think CF will win also.

Yeah, I know exactly what he was talking about now. I just can't talk about it on here. Might give someone an idea...LOL

davglo35

Hamburg's starting qb is out with a broken hand. The difference in the game.....Hamburg will have 4 or 5 really good players on both sides of the ball. Fairview will have 11. Hamburg is a small town with less than 3000 people. The only reason Hamburg is a 4A school is because they annexed a lot of kids in from the delta that do not nor ever have played football. Its all about more money for the school. Hamburg should be a 3A school. We are just hoping that no one gets hurt.

With the first game in the books with a new coaching staff you will see the offense clicking on all cylinders tonight.  Defense will step up and show why they are considered one of the best.  42-7 Camden Fairview.

CF Fairview 33 Hamburg 14.  Game was much closer than score indicates. Hamburg kept the ball most of the second half driving into the red zone twice but came away empty handed both times. CF scored on two long runs in the second half to pull away. Hamburg played a good ball game and have nothing to be ashamed of. It certainly wasnt a blow out.

Nice synopsis davglo. 2 things, Savage is a man, and Rochelle (sp?) is too. Hamburg played some hard nosed football tonight. Great game and props to your cheerleaders for helping out with Coach R Cox's proposal.

Yea that was neat how both side cooperated for the proposal. Hope CF has a great season.

Hamburg played a great game tonight. This was a closer game than the score. Good luck Hamburg.
